Birth and the Nine-Tails Attack

Naruto was born to Minato Namikaze and Kushina Uzumaki in a hidden cave. His birth was immediately followed by a kidnapping attempt and the Nine-Tails’ release over Konoha. 327 328

During the battle, Naruto became the vessel for the Nine-Tails because of his Uzumaki bloodline and resilient physique. Unlike the original course of events known to Uzumaki Chenhao, Minato and Kushina survived: Chenhao severed the Nine-Tails’ claw with a Rasenshuriken and paralyzed it with a Tailed Beast Bomb, allowing the sealing to be completed. 334 335 336

Childhood

Naruto grows up with both parents and Chenhao, who considers him a younger brother and intends to teach him ninjutsu when he is older. 324 366 Chenhao also gives Naruto a fox-headed bracelet designed to suppress the Nine-Tails’ turbulent energy within him. 370
