Suddenly, a strange mental ripple brushed gently across his mind, like waves spreading over water.
The ripple was very gentle, carrying a hint of ingratiation, like an invisible little hand tugging at his finger.

Chen Doudou looked up and gazed at Bibi Dong with some confusion. "It feels like some mental power is constantly drawing me toward that direction."
A glint flashed in Bibi Dong's eyes. Her previously languid expression instantly turned wary.
She swept her gaze around and gave a cold snort. "Another coward hiding in the shadows. Since it wants to see us, then let's go see it."
She turned and instructed Xiao Yuanshan and his wife, "Stay here and guard Nannan. Don't let anyone disturb her."
With that, Bibi Dong took Chen Doudou's hand. An invisible force enveloped them both, and after a few flickers, they sped off toward the source of the mental power.
In a relatively open clearing in the forest, the ground suddenly bulged upward.
"Pfft—!"
A fat, golden-striped bug sprang out of the earth like a cannonball.
As soon as it landed, it wiggled its plump body. Its tiny, bean-sized eyes shone with fervor as it stared fixedly at Chen Doudou.
"Heh heh heh, I've finally been waiting for you!"
Sky Dream Ice Silkworm's lecherous, excited voice rang out. Its tiny eyes darted around as it prepared to launch into a long speech proclaiming its greatness.

Bibi Dong didn't even release her martial soul. With a casual sweep of her hand, she grabbed Sky Dream Ice Silkworm by its enormous head and slammed it hard into the ground.

Dust billowed into the air.

Sky Dream Ice Silkworm let out a howl as its four stubby legs kicked wildly in the air. "My lady, it's a misunderstanding! It's all a misunderstanding! Don't hit me!"
"You can talk?"
Bibi Dong crouched down and examined the bug with interest, the corner of her mouth curling into a mocking smile. "This is the first time I've seen such a weak Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast. You're so fat, one bite would probably be so greasy you'd have garlic scattered all over the ground."
"I'm not a Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast! I'm a powerful Million-Year Soul Beast!"
Sky Dream Ice Silkworm was on the verge of tears as it struggled desperately. But before the power of a demigod, its efforts were like a mayfly trying to shake a tree. "My lady, please let me go! I came to give you a great opportunity!"
"Pfft, ha ha ha!"
Bibi Dong laughed as if she'd just heard the funniest joke in the world, her whole body shaking with laughter. "You? A Million-Year Soul Beast? Did you become a Million-Year Soul Beast by sleeping?"
Her fingers tightened slightly as she tested it. "Still, you really do have a tremendous amount of mental power. Interesting."
"As for this opportunity you mentioned..."
Bibi Dong's smile faded, and her gaze turned cold. "Let's hear it. If you dare try to fool me, I'll deep-fry you and serve you as a snack with my liquor."
Sky Dream Ice Silkworm shivered. It didn't dare dwell on whether she believed it, and hurriedly looked at Chen Doudou, tears streaming down its face. "I want to become his first Wisdom Soul Ring of the mental type! I want to sacrifice myself to him!"
It pointed at Chen Doudou and declared righteously, "This child has extraordinary talent. I... I see great promise in him! I want to help him become a god!"
Chen Doudou stepped back half a pace with a look of disgust and waved his hands repeatedly. "I don't want it."

"Your body is indeed quite strong, but I'm a Million-Year Soul Beast. Just to be safe, I'll add a few more seals for you so you can slowly digest my power."
"Besides, I can help you gain an extra martial soul! This is a heaven-sent blessing! You'd better be thrilled."
As Sky Dream Ice Silkworm made its sacrifice, its vast mental power began to gather. Golden seal patterns appeared across its body as it compressed its power, preparing to merge perfectly with Chen Doudou.
Just as Sky Dream Ice Silkworm finished refining the seals and completed its final sacrifice, the golden-white orb was about to slip into the space between Chen Doudou's brows.
