A fine horse thundered along the official road.

By the time the caravan's people heard the noise and turned to look, all they could see was a streak of red light rushing away with a whoosh.
The people in the caravan were so frightened they dared not move. Even the packhorses trembled uncontrollably at the creature beneath Lu Cheng.
Only after a long while did a man in the caravan stammer, "Why did I—why did I see a streak of red light? Was—was that a flood dragon?"
Another said, "I—I don't know, but I saw someone riding on it."
An old man studied
