Background / History

Sun Wu is a personal disciple of White Ape Martial Hall master Zhou Rongfeng and serves as an instructor for the hall’s Outer Courtyard. Most Inner Courtyard disciples have received his guidance, giving him substantial standing among the disciples despite not belonging to the core circle led by figures such as Meng Wentao and Zhou Yuqing. 5 29 35

At some point before the story, Sun Wu intervened in a conflict on another person’s behalf and was ambushed afterward. He was poisoned during the attack, leaving his meridians damaged and halting his cultivation progress. 67

Sun Wu first notices Jiang Chen’s unexpectedly condensed martial Qi and Blood at the White Ape Martial Hall. He is further shocked that Jiang Chen can maintain Stance Sense continuously, a level of focus rarely seen among the hall’s disciples. 5
