Background / History

Dugu Bo conceived Nine Nether Hall because, despite being a Titled Douluo with a god-level Martial Soul, he could not personally protect Dugu Yan, Dugu Xin, Lin Wan'er, and everyone else important to him. He intended the hall to be a force with absolute loyalty, sufficient strength, and the ability to share his burdens. 36

The hall was named after the Nine Nether Divine Dragon. Dugu Bo established it at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Eyes in Sunset Forest, choosing the hidden valley as its base and planning to expand gradually. Its first four members were Dugu Bo, Dugu Yan, Dugu Xin, and Lin Wan'er. 37

The Breaking Clan became the first large-scale addition after Yang Wudi accepted Dugu Bo's aid and joined with his entire clan. The Defense Clan followed after Niu Gao tested Dugu Bo's strength and conceded defeat. 48 55 The Strength Clan and Speed Clan later joined after Titan and Bai He were suppressed in a duel. 66

By the time all four clans had entered, Dugu Bo ordered the organization to remain publicly hidden while accumulating strength to eventually contend with Martial Soul Hall. The clans retained their outward businesses and identities while serving Nine Nether Hall in secret. 67

The site develops from a small settlement of wooden cabins into a formal headquarters. The Defense Clan constructs the main hall, side halls, residences, and other facilities, while the valley's medicinal fields, forge, warehouses, and intelligence network support the faction's growth. 51 64 74 78
