Magic Cuisine
In Anveena's memory, she was just a farm girl living in a village, leading an ordinary and uneventful life. Suddenly, someone came and told her that she was not an ordinary person, but a child born in the Golden Palace.
The sudden turn of events left Anveena struggling to accept it. If she was born into the Golden Palace age, why was she living in the countryside, leading an obscure life? Her parents loved her so much, but why...?
"That's impossible. My parents are ordinary people, they are now..." Anveena thought of her parents and suddenly looked up.
"Your parents, it's them, isn't it?" Borel waved his hand, and the image of the Golden Palace in the silver basin disappeared, replaced by the image of an ordinary human man and woman. The man had an honest appearance, and the woman was peaceful and gentle, without any special characteristics or strengths.
"Dad, Mom, where are they now?" Anveena looked at the lifelike man and woman reflected in the silver basin of clear water, her expression changing again as she anxiously asked Borel.
"They've disappeared, but I can make them reappear if you need them," Borel said calmly, looking at the anxious Anveena.
"What do you mean?" Anveena didn't understand Borel's words.
"I created them to take care of you, but unfortunately, they were destroyed by the Undead not long ago. However, if you need them, I can bring them back." Borel stated the matter slowly and methodically, but Anveena found it unacceptable.
Zul'ra looked at Anveena, whose expression showed disbelief, and wondered if she should go up and comfort her. Suddenly, she was interrupted by a tall wine glass being handed to her. The transparent glass contained amber-colored wine, which emitted a slightly warm, astringent aroma.
"Hot Apple Cider, I conjured it up from Magic Cuisine. It was invented by a mage named Nerlas. Hopefully, it won't taste too bad!"
With a grin, Tarecgosa, holding a tray full of glasses in her right hand, handed a stemmed glass of Hot Apple Cider to Zul'ra with her left. Without waiting for his reply, she then handed a glass of different colored cider to Ge Gaoli and Borel, and finally a glass of red cider to Anveena, Anveena, of course, refused to accept it.
"This, please give it to me first, thank you. She doesn't have time to drink right now." Zul'ra took the wine glass from Tarecgosa's hand, noticing that Anveena looked very unwell. The Blue Dragonflight girl casually carried the tray away.
Anveena is not just in a bad situation, she is in a terrible one. She is not her parents' biological child, and her parents were created by magic. This makes her feel like her worldview is shattered, that everything is fake, and that everything has been arranged.
"Who are my parents? And why are you telling me all this?" Anveena asked Borel, suppressing a mix of emotions. If the loving parents she'd always known were a lie, then who were her real parents?
"If we're really going to talk about it, I might be considered your father. You don't have a mother." Borel put down the glass of clear liquor in his hand, looked at Anveena's mixed expression, and felt that he might have done something wrong. He paused slightly before continuing.
"I'm telling you this for no other purpose than to tell you what you should know." Borel glanced at Zul'ra and Ge Gaoli, swallowing back some of his words. The fact that Anveena was an incarnation of the Sunwell was no small matter, and the fewer people who knew, the better.
"Zul'ra Jin?" Ge Gaoli, somewhat confused, moved closer to Zul'ra. He was completely bewildered. This woman named Anveena seemed to have a very mysterious background. She was born in the kingdom of the High Elves and had a connection with this man who appeared to be a dragon.
"Don't ask any more questions." Zul'ra stopped Ge Gaoli with her gaze, while Anveena on the other side looked confused.
"What do you mean I don't have a mother?" Anveena was initially a little saddened by the world's illusions, but after hearing Borel say that he didn't have a mother, she felt that something was amiss.
"... You and your parents were actually created by me, but you are different, and I wanted you to be like ordinary people, so I created your parents to accompany you." Borel's expression was a little conflicted; in front of two mortals, he couldn't just say it directly.
"Why am I different?" Anveena was a little dizzy. She didn't have a mother, and she was also created by magic. How exactly was she created?
"Because, you two, may I go and be alone with Anveena for a while?" Borel opened his mouth, and then politely asked Zul'ra Ge Gaoli, who were listening in.
"You don't need to ask me about this." Zul'ra gave Anveena a look, while Borel gestured for the Sunwell girl to lead the way. After thinking for a moment, Anveena followed Borel out through a door.
"Zul'ra." Ge Gaoli's expression changed as he watched Borel lead Anveena away through the door. He called out to Zul'ra in a low voice, knowing that mages' teleportation spells were unpredictable and the other party might snatch her away.
"No need, let's just wait!" Zul'ra looked at the silver basin on the wooden shelf in front of her and shook her head slightly. Borel, that Red Dragonflight, must have observed her with prophecy, acting all mysterious, as if she didn't know Anveena's identity.
"They'll be back soon. Would you like me to conjure up some food for you?" Tarecgosa stood by the table, inviting Zul'ra and Ge Gaoli, who were standing there, to take their seats.
"Don't overthink it, what's good to eat?" Zul'ra comforted Ge Gaoli, then smiled as she walked to the dining table, pulled out a chair, and sat down. As she put down her wine glass, she asked the Blue Dragonflight girl who was about to eat.
"Here's the recipe." Tarecgosa smiled and waved, and a book flew to Zul'ra's side.
"Magic Cuisine, Nerlas Nielas Aran, no wonder." Zul'ra took the book, first flipping through the title and author on the cover, then turning the pages. Inside, it was full of magic related to food, from bread to roast meat feasts, from water to alcoholic beverages, with information, illustrations, and summoning methods—everything imaginable.
"How long have you been learning these spells?" Zul'ra looked at the various drinks and foods in the book, picked up the cup of Hot Apple Cider that Tarecgosa just drunk, and took a sip. It tasted pretty good.
Zul'ra had also come into contact with and even experimented with these food magics. They belong to the summoning category of Arcane Magic. Although they are called summoning, they are actually creations out of thin air. They require a certain amount of energy, and the magical effect is so subtle that even a slight difference can lead to a huge difference. The things that are created won't kill people, but the taste will definitely refresh people's understanding of magic.
"I've only been using it for a short while." Tarecgosa blinked.
"Then give me some Ironforge Rations." Zul'ra flipped to a page of the cookbook and looked at a picture of a slice of bread topped with broth. It looked delicious; the information said it was a specialty portable food of the Ironforge rangers.
"Let me take a look." Tarecgosa walked to Zul'ra's side, leaned down slightly, and looked at the contents of the spellbook next to Zul'ra. Then she straightened up and gently clasped her hands in front of her.
