Inn and Rabbit
"I'll go check. You sit here and don't wander off. I'll go buy some food..." Zul'ra saw Anveena nod and immediately told her to wait there while he went to buy her some food, but she refused.
"Let's stay together. I'm getting quite bored here alone." Anveena looked at the Sin'dorei coming and going on the Walk of Elders, hesitated for a moment, and then refused to stay where she was, choosing instead to go with them.
"Alright then! Let's go take a look together, and if it's okay, we can have a drink there!" Seeing that Anveena didn't want to stay alone, Zul'ra didn't say anything. Although nothing would happen in public, it was still a foreign place, and they just wanted to avoid any trouble.
Zul'ra led Anveena across the street, following the flow of people to the "Traveler's Dreamland" shop they saw. After glancing at the storefront decorated with magical colored lights and the customers seated in the large glass windows, they pushed open the door and went inside.
The hotel was quite quiet during the day, with a few male and female guests sitting inside. However, they were either drinking alone by the window or talking quietly in pairs, occasionally sipping their drinks.
"Welcome, two guests to Silvermoon City. May Yovia ask how I can help you?" Behind the counter at the far end of the room, in front of rows of barrels, a cheerful female Sin'dorei greeted and inquired in her Common as Zul'ra and Anveena entered.
"What special foods and drinks do you have?" Zul'ra led Anveena straight to the counter.
"Yes, of course. Our establishment provides food and lodging services, including private double rooms for romantic getaways. We guarantee your satisfaction." The female proprietress looked at the man and woman with a suggestive smile.
"Thank you for your kindness, but we're not worried about accommodation for now. Just give us food." Zul'ra glanced at the shy Anveena beside her, then turned her neck away to politely decline the landlady's offer. Was this really a kind gesture?
"What do you need? We offer set meals with drinks. You're from out of town, right? Then I think you'll definitely want a set meal that highlights the local cuisine." Yovia looked at the shy Anveena and the demure Zul'ra, her face indicating that she understood.
"Yes, we're from out of town, so let's have a set meal that's enough for two people! Is it cash on delivery?" Zul'ra looked at Yovia, who was very outgoing and friendly, and nodded, indicating that they came to eat local specialties.
"Okay, we'll process it for you shortly. As for the bill, since you and this lady are from out of town..." Yovia's enthusiasm turned into politeness. Although she didn't continue, Zul'ra understood and gave her seven gold coins before leading Anveena to a table by the window to sit down.
Soon, the proprietress Yovia, brought over the food on a plate. The first two dishes were a cold salad of sea snake grass and a delicious Wind Serpent. Zul'ra frowned slightly as he looked at it. He had given seven gold coins; was this all the food he was given?
Just as Zul'ra frowned, Yovia brought over more food and explained that what had just been the appetizer was now the main course. The main course consisted of a seafood platter featuring a large lobster, along with vegetable salad, Hawkstrider legs, night fin soup, clam rice, and drinks including magical crystal water that emanated energy fluctuations and strawberry juice.
A pile of food filled two tables, making Anveena, who was eating sea snake grass, stare wide-eyed, while Zul'ra, while relaxing her brows, was a little worried that she had been taken advantage of, as she seemed to have only ordered enough food for two people!
"There will be honey bread and magic cookies for dessert later, you two. You can take them home if you can't finish them." As Yovia finished serving the food, she said to Zul'ra with a little trepidation. It seemed like she had served a little too much, but it was worth the money she had just spent.
"Thank you for your help. I don't need to pay any more money later, right?" Zul'ra glanced at the nervous female boss, Yovia, and asked tentatively. He didn't want to be taken advantage of.
"No, no, I already paid." Yovia somewhat embarrassedly.
"Tch!" Anveena looked at Zul'ra, whose face was a little confused, and couldn't help but chuckle.
"That's good, let's continue eating!" Zul'ra nodded when she saw that she didn't need to pay any more money. Although she felt a little cheated, she decided to treat it as a good time, considering the delicious food on the table.
Enjoy your meal.
After saying that, Yovia stepped back, letting the two eat in silence. The few guests in the inn who were already there left one after another after the lavish meal was served. They looked at the sumptuous meal with some discomfort. Damn it, who comes to an inn to eat like this?
The customers had all left, and the female owner Yovia, didn't care, since they had already paid for their drinks. Zul'ra and Anveena were even less concerned, as they buried themselves in their food.
Just as Zul'ra and Anveena were having their meal, Tarecgosa in from outside, following the magical mark. She was carrying a gray long-eared rabbit by the handle in her hand. After entering and seeing the sumptuous food on the table, she complained, "Why didn't you wait for me?" and joined the meal. As for the rabbit in her hand, she casually tossed it aside.
The gray-furred, long-eared rabbit was thrown down by Tarecgosa, landing in a blue mist before the astonished gaze of the female boss Yovia. From within the mist, the disheveled Sin'dorei girl, Valeera, appeared, her face filled with rage.
"Don't worry, she's our companion..." Zul'ra looked at the gray-furred long-eared rabbit that had landed and transformed into human form, and greeted the female boss.
"That's right, no need to worry. If you don't believe me, you can go ask her, ask her who I am to you?" Tarecgosa, in the appearance of High Elves, corroborated Zul'ra's words and instructed Yovia to verify with the girl Valeera.
"I am hers, sister." Valeera's face was full of anger, but after several changes of expression in the face of the questioning female boss, she decided to admit it reluctantly. If there was a problem with her, and Yovia went to find the city's patrol team, she wouldn't be able to explain herself, because her purse was currently filled with someone else's money bag, and there were people in the city looking for her.
"That's right, she was too naughty, so her sister disciplined her. Could you please add two more sets of tableware and some drinks for us?" Zul'ra explained to the female boss, following the girl's words, why she had been turned into a rabbit.
"Come and eat!" Tarecgosa. Valeera, the young girl, looked reluctant, but had no choice but to bite the bullet and walk to the table. Looking at the sumptuous food, she turned her grief and anger into appetite.
"What did you do to her?" As Zul'ra greeted Yovia, Anveena glanced at Valeera, who was reluctantly but still doing as she was told, and quietly asked Tarecgosa beside her.
"She got caught, and I helped her. And then, you see, I really helped her." Tarecgosa looked at the unwilling but obedient girl with a happy smile, like a sister who truly cared about her younger sister.
"You turned me into a rabbit." Valeera said through gritted teeth, clutching a crab. She vowed to remember this humiliation—being held by the ear and lifted into the air, and yet having to thank the person who did it.
"What's wrong with an older sister disciplining her younger sister?" Tarecgosa said with a smile. This was the first time she had ever seen someone's help make them grit their teeth, while she herself felt no anger at all, but rather quite pleased.
