Harvest
Zmodlor Zul'ra paused for a moment upon hearing Jaina's words, then turned to look around. He saw that the valley was in complete disarray, Malkazaar's remains on the altar had vanished, Gorehowl was in his hand, but where was Zmodlor, whom Malkazaar had just crushed to death?
"Where is the body of the demon?" Sanla turned his head and looked around. The remains of Zmodler that had been crushed by Makzal had disappeared.🐊👑 υ ♣♡
"It seems we were almost fooled." Jaina looked around with Zul'ra, feeling a bit scared. Malkazaar's killing of Zmodlor was clearly a deception, but the Loa had seen through it.
"Alright!" Zul'ra nodded in relief at Jaina's words. No wonder Ulathek said there was an extra prize and even took a remnant with him. Thinking of the reward Ulathek left behind, he couldn't help but walk towards the altar. He seemed to see something under the Snake God Banner on the altar.
"San..." Jaina watched as Zul'ra nodded and calmly walked towards the altar, and couldn't help but blink. At this time of day, shouldn't devout believers pray to the gods to express their gratitude and reverence? Aren't Trolls supposed to be incredibly steadfast and proud of their faith? Could it be that I've encountered a fake Trolls?
Leaving aside Jaina's strange feeling, Zul'ra walked to the simple altar she had previously built with magic, where she saw three things lying on the steps beneath the pyramid Snake God Banner.
"Zul'ra..." Jaina caught up with Zul'ra and followed his gaze to the object on the altar. There was a steel spear with a bronze mirror on it, and on the mirror was a white jade the size of a finger.
"Pick one!" Zul'ra looked at Jaina, who had followed her, and then at the three items on the altar, before turning to her and saying.
"Me...?" Jaina was a little taken aback.
"These are extra rewards from the gods, considered spoils of war. You can choose one, as long as you don't mind having too little!" Zul'ra nodded. These were spoils of war, and Jaina couldn't be left out.
"No, no, you don't need to share with me, Zul'ra. I didn't help at all in this battle, it was all your doing!" Jaina shook her head repeatedly, looking a little embarrassed. The demon was defeated by Zul'ra, she hadn't helped at all.
"Who said that? Didn't you take care of Gorehowl for me? I can't give you this axe. Come on! Pick one." Zul'ra smiled and held up the battle axe in her hand.
"Alright! So, what's the use of these things?" Jaina understood Zul'ra's question and looked at the three items. The spear was four yards long with a sharp, curved blade, clearly a long-handled melee weapon, unsuitable for her. That left only the bronze mirror and the jade.
"Of all these items, only that bronze mirror once belonged to me, but now, I don't know what happened to it." Zul'ra put Gorehowl aside, then picked up his own Sun Mirror, the prototype he had made for the Sunbearers ' sacred object.
The original bronze mirror was oval-shaped, with a Zandalar hymn inscribed on the back and a famous saying inscribed around it, "The bronze mirror only reflects the form, not the heart; only all things can reflect the heart."
The bronze mirrors of today have changed. Although they are still oval-shaped, the inscriptions around the edges and back have disappeared, replaced by snake patterns and hymns. The original bronze mirror surface seems to have crystallized. In addition to the reflection, if you look closely, you can see countless smoky snake-like shapes floating inside the mirror.
"This mirror contains divine energy. I'm not entirely sure how to use it, but I can teach you some of my abilities with mirrors." Zul'ra held the mirror and felt its power as she spoke to Jaina, picking up the finger-sized jade stone.
"This should be some kind of remnant from that demon. It should be bone, and besides the energy of the gods, it also contains the remnants of the demon." Zul'ra held the jade between her fingers. The jade was like a pendant, cone-shaped like a tooth. Although it was crystal clear and warm, it was a piece of bone, possibly a remnant from Malkazaar.
"Yes, I want this mirror." Upon hearing Zul'ra's words, Jaina immediately pointed to the mirror in Zul'ra's hand.
"Hmm, I thought so too, after all, you're not using the last weapon." Zul'ra wasn't too surprised by Jaina's choice, since the remaining Snake Spear was a melee weapon, which a mage like Jaina wouldn't need, and it seemed she was a spellcaster herself.
"Then it's settled." Seeing that Zul'ra had no intention of backing out and was indeed going to share the spoils with her, Jaina couldn't help but smile and chose the bronze mirror from his hand.
"Hmm." Zul'ra handed the bronze mirror, which was filled with divine power, to Jaina. Then, she felt the jade in her hand and put it away. She turned around and put away Gorehowl, the Snake Spear spear on the ground, and the Snake God Banner on the altar. This banner was also filled with divine power, even more so than before. It seemed that Ulathek had gone to great lengths to acquire it.
"Oh right, the battle over there..." Jaina fiddled with the bronze mirror in her hand, suddenly remembering the battle between the allied forces on the other side.
"It should be over by now. When I offered the sacrifice, I made a wish to the gods, hoping that the warriors who fought against the demons would be safe." Zul'ra looked at the devastated valley with great calm. It seemed that the sacrifice of Malkazaar had given Ulathek a great benefit, so there was no reason for her not to respond to his request.
"Really?" Jaina was somewhat uncertain; she had far too many curiosities and doubts about the unknown gods.
"You'll know when we get back, but unfortunately, I can't find any clothes here. I'm afraid I have to apologize for your cloak." Zul'ra looked at the only thing covering her waist, the blue cloak that belonged to Jaina, and couldn't help but feel a little embarrassed.
"It's alright, I have another one." Jaina didn't care about a cloak, but seeing Zul'ra's comical attire with a blue cloth around her waist, she couldn't help but smile mischievously.
"Let's go, let's go!" Zul'ra felt even more embarrassed looking at Jaina's smile and urged her to walk back.
On the way back, Jaina and Zul'ra didn't walk anymore. Instead, Jaina used a short-range teleportation. Just as Zul'ra had predicted, the Allied Forces suffered heavy losses in the face of the Chaos Creatures' attack, but under Ulathek's protection, everyone was safe.
The chaotic creatures that had been besieging the troops were terrified when Zul'ra sacrificed Malkazaar's body and soul, unleashing Ulathek's divine power. In this storm, even those who had already met their demise miraculously recovered to a state of severe injury, not truly dying, and the battle was won.
Don't wait for tonight's chapter, I went to bed early. I've been having insomnia lately and I'm very tired.
