War of the Shifting Sands
Jaina, with her teleportation abilities, moved like the wind. She first returned to Theramore, then had the mages use teleportation spells to send messages to Ironforge, Aerie Peak, Kul Tiras, and Stormwind, giving them a heads-up. 👊😂 ☹🍭
While Jaina was giving advance notice to the Alliance, Orgrimmar welcomed High Priestess Tyrande Whisperwind of Elune. Unlike Jaina, she and her guards arrived riding Hippogryph.
When Tyrande Whisperwind arrived, Zul'ra personally went out to greet her. Like Jaina, the high priestess praised the changes in Orgrimmar. Zul'ra dared not speak to her casually, modestly stating that Orgrimmar lacked a natural and harmonious atmosphere.
Although Tyrande Whisperwind was somewhat arrogant, she was not the kind of haughty person who looked down on others. In response to Zul'ra's humility, she praised the industriousness of the Horde people, saying that although Orgrimmar lacked natural harmony, it was the result of the Horde people's hard work.
After a brief encounter, Jaina returned to Theramore, this time with a female High Elves advisor.
As the host, Zul'ra convened a meeting to discuss matters. The attendees were chosen to represent the Horde, Jaina to represent the Alliance, Tyrande Whisperwind to represent the Natural Faction, and the others to listen in, such as Tyrande Whisperwind's guards, Jaina's High Elves advisor, Cairne Bloodhoof, Vol'jin, and the returning Lirath, Moira, Rehgar Earthfury, and others.
"Zul'ra Jin, first of all, I thank you for what you have done for the world; your news has brought us to the forefront of the crisis." Tyrande Whisperwind declared this at the beginning of the meeting, a display of pride, thanking Zul'ra on behalf of the world.
"This is what I should do, High Priest. We all live in this world, and it is everyone's responsibility to protect our home. This time, it will not be just the Kaldorei and the dragons resisting Ahn'Qiraj." Zul'ra was unfazed by the arrogance in Tyrande Whisperwind's words, but solemnly declared the Horde's attitude, which made Tyrande Whisperwind nod slightly in affirmation.
"We will unite like we did at Mount Hyjal, but this time is different from the last. We have more time to prepare, don't we, High Priestess?" Jaina looked at Tyrande Whisperwind respectfully, wanting to know the current situation: the seal on the Scarab Wall was loosening, when would the Qiraji emerge, and how much more time everyone had to prepare!
"That seal was created by a dragon. It won't be fully opened until we have the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. As for what might happen if the seal loosens, I don't know for sure, but with our current strength and that of the Horde in Silithus, we should be able to handle it." Tyrande Whisperwind had done some research, but due to communication problems, she couldn't learn much.
"However, I believe we should organize our forces as soon as possible to breach the Scarab Wall, so that we can completely eliminate those insectoids and prevent them from causing even greater harm to the world."
"Where is the Scepter of the Shifting Sands? According to the telegram sent back three hours ago, Silithus is currently safe. The priests of Shiloma and the Ironhoof Master have dealt with the Twilight's Hammer and some Zerg, and there is no major crisis for the time being." Zul'ra took advantage of the convenience of the telegram to inform everyone of the news.
"Three hours ago? Twilight's Hammer cultists?" Jaina's forehead was filled with question marks as she faced Zul'ra's direct message.
"Yes, our telegrams are based on information from three hours ago. If there's any real-time news, we'll notify everyone immediately as long as the telegraph operator can send the message in time." Zul'ra nodded. There's no way to hide radio; many Goblins and Gnomes know how to use it, so it's better to just say it directly.
"Is it Goblins communicator?" Tyrande Whisperwind noticed the Horde's convenient communication system when she arrived, so she became interested in the so-called telegraph and made some guesses. Goblins have some communication devices, but their range of use is limited and they are easily interfered with.
"Something similar." Zul'ra nodded. To be precise, the radio did indeed reference Goblins communicators, but he had the Gnomes enhance it and use antennas to strengthen signal reception, creating a communication network with unparalleled convenience, allowing them to receive news from the Eastern Kingdoms instantly.
"Lady Tyrande Whisperwind, the Scepter of the Shifting Sands!" Jaina ignored the radio and instead reminded Tyrande Whisperwind of the main topic.
"Oh, about that... the fragments of the Scepter of the Shifting Sands are currently in the hands of a dragon." Tyrande Whisperwind, reminded by Jaina, quickly remembered the important matter, though her expression was somewhat embarrassed.
"Fragments?" Jaina drawled.
"Yes, Fragment. In the last War of the Shifting Sands, we called the war against the Qiraji the War of the Shifting Sands. This name comes from the Scepter of the Shifting Sands. The dragons created a seal to trap the insectoids and made plans for us. When we were strong enough, we would open the seal and destroy the insectoids. The thing that opened the seal was the Scepter of the Shifting Sands."
"The dragon gave us the Scepter of Quicksand, but for some special reason, the scepter was shattered, and the dragon took the fragments with it." Tyrande Whisperwind looked somewhat embarrassed.
"How could this thing break?" Jaina, a cheerful girl, didn't notice the embarrassment on Tyrande Whisperwind's face, while the female High Elves advisor behind her couldn't help but curl the corners of her mouth into a smile.
"It was Fandral Staghelm, who lost his son in that war and, in a fit of rage..." Tyrande Whisperwind's face turned pinkish-purple.
"..." Jaina looked at the embarrassed high priest, feeling that she might have asked a question she shouldn't have.
"The most important thing right now is to retrieve the fragments of the Scepter of the Shifting Sands from the dragon. Dragon artifacts don't become useless just because they're broken." Zul'ra spoke up at the right moment to ease the tension and bring the topic back on track.
"We'll try to contact the dragons. They've been spotted near Nordrassil recently, and I think they'll join the fight." Tyrande Whisperwind quickly took over the quest to smooth things over with Fandral. Although she understood Fandral's grief over losing his son, the Scepter of the Shifting Sands was ultimately a matter of world safety, and his impulsive actions were a mistake made by the Kaldorei.
"This means our strength has increased again," Zul'ra tried to say in a cheerful voice.
"Our cause is righteous, and our strength will continue to grow; I have no doubt about that. However, building an army requires more than just strength." Jaina was also pleased that the dragons had joined the alliance, but this meant the alliance was officially formed, and an army requires more than just manpower.
"Yes, that's the problem, but I think we can solve it. Let's discuss it!" Zul'ra rubbed his hands together inwardly. War was a heavy blow to the Horde, but for industry, it was an opportunity for development.
