Alliance Deployment
Faced with Tyrande Whisperwind's question, Jaina felt a mix of embarrassment and relief. Having interacted with the Kaldorei before, she knew Kaldorei longevity gave them the right to look down on everyone else. But others didn't know that if this telegram were sent to Stormwind, Varian would likely turn on her. 😡💚 🐊☜
After a moment of embarrassment and relief, Jaina telegraphed Bolvar Fordragon's biography to Darnassus, describing him as "noble and brave," "just and humble," and a "devout believer of the Light." One of his achievements was that he had won the trust of Sir Lothar and been appointed Regent of Stormwind. However, none of this could impress the Kaldorei of Darnassus.
The Kaldorei share some similarities with the Orcs in their values. They maintain a relatively primitive society and are followers of Elune and the nature demigods. They have no interest in the Light, do not know Lothar, and have no concept of nobility or virtue. They believe that human morality is too blatant and that the highest virtue is not true virtue.
Although her suggestion wasn't understood, Tyrande Whisperwind couldn't rashly oppose it. This priestess could be impulsive at times, but she still possessed the necessary political wisdom. She consulted Zul'ra's opinion and shifted the blame to the Horde.
Based on her knowledge of the plot, Zul'ra deduced that Bolvar had a dark past, having been bewitched by the Onyxia. However, he possessed exceptional integrity and willpower. Even after being nearly killed by the plague and dragonfire, he did not submit to the Lich King. In a moment of crisis, he took the Helm of Domination from Fordring and succeeded as the Lich King, restraining the Scourge for the world.
Bolvar's integrity and willpower already qualify him to be a commander, and the political significance he exudes makes Zul'ra even more suitable. Bolvar still retains the title of regent, and if he successfully leads his army to defend the world, Stormwind will have a duke with a reputation higher than the king, which would be quite a show.
In terms of qualifications and political significance, Zul'ra replied with a public telegram to Darnassus praising Azeroth, the Lion of Lothar, who Lothar the rival of the former Warchief Orgrim. If it weren't for this man uniting the Alliance nations before World War II, the Alliance would probably have been wiped out by the Old Horde.
A true hero not only earns the respect of his own people but also the admiration of his opponents. Lothar was such a person. After Stormwind was ravaged by the Old Horde, he united the nations and organized a counterattack against the Old Horde. He even plotted to capture the former Warchief Orgrim at the Blackrock Mountain and did not back down when faced with Orgrim's duel challenge.
Lothar died during his duel with Orgrim when his sword broke, but this did not diminish his reputation. On the contrary, his bravery was recognized by the Orcs, and the Orcs changed their prejudice against humans. Those he took a liking to should be fine.
Zul'ra didn't directly support Bolvar, but indirectly endorsed Bolvar through his resume. This avoided taking responsibility for the failure and also created a trap between the Kaldorei and the Alliance, which Tyrande Whisperwind jumped into without hesitation.
Tyrande Whisperwind still doubted Bolvar's abilities and wanted to add two more advisors in addition to the commander, to be appointed by the Horde and Darnassus. Zul'ra also unhesitatingly supported this request on behalf of the Horde. Bolvar had a high level of integrity and willpower, but he also had a dark past.
The Kaldorei's arrogance limited their vision. On matters of world survival, they would doubt the abilities of a younger race, for such a matter was of utmost importance. Although they were qualified, no one who was doubted would be friendly to those who doubted them.
Jaina felt exhausted by Tyrande Whisperwind's request, but she had no choice but to agree. She then informed the various factions within the Alliance Alliance, who, after some discussion, approved the situation. However, they requested the addition of another advisor to enhance the commander's authority, which Darnassus reluctantly agreed to after a period of displeasure.
After much discussion, the matter was largely settled. Duke Bolvar Duke Fordragon of Stormwind was appointed as the leader of the alliance, while the three advisors were Shandris Feathermoon, the leader of the Darnassus Sentinels, Brann Bronzebeard, an adventurer from Ironforge, and Zul'ra himself. The Alliance successfully increased its command authority, but it also created a rift between itself and Darnassus.
The Alliance took over the position of commander-in-chief of the Allied Forces and wanted to make a name for itself, so it naturally had to contribute. Stormwind and Kul Tiras mobilized ships to transport troops and supplies, and also helped Theramore by delivering another ten tons of copper, twenty thousand rolls of yarn and eight thousand rolls of cotton, and officially confirmed the number of participants.
The Alliance's Seventh Legion has officially been organized for the war, with a total strength of over 20,000 men, including 400 Paladin, 600 paladins of various ranks, 800 Gryphon Rider, 2,000 Priest of various ranks, 5,000 knights, 13,000 infantry, plus a tank brigade and a mortar regiment. These are all soldiers, not farmers or workers; this is the Alliance's massive troop production capability.
The Alliance's large-scale troop delivery finally eased Darnassus's mind a bit. Tyrande Whisperwind sent a message praising the Alliance's Consecration. However, compared to her good mood, Zul'ra's expression was not so good. Damn it, what if the Alliance didn't fight the Insectoids and instead attacked Orgrimmar with so many troops?
Putting aside whether the Alliance would attack Orgrimmar, another matter was giving Zul'ra a headache. Apart from the Alliance personnel, Darnassus had decided to send a total of four thousand sentinels and Druid to fight, while the Horde had nine thousand members participating.
The total number of participants has exceeded 30,000. Such a large number of people requires an enormous amount of resources, which is quite astonishing. Moreover, in order to facilitate the transportation of troops, the Alliance has arranged for all personnel to travel light, except for the equipment of Priest, mages, Paladin, and Gryphon Rider, as well as tanks and mortars. As for the required equipment, it has all been placed on orders with Orgrimmar.
Faced with a massive order for weapons and food, Zul'ra couldn't help but want to curse. It wasn't that Orgrimmar couldn't handle the orders; Orgrimmar had ample resources and manufacturing capacity, and with time to prepare, they could Goblins. But what if Orgrimmar took the orders and then didn't pay, or even used the weapons to attack them?
Under Zul'ra's strong insistence, the Alliance paid for ten tons of copper, followed by 100,000 Arathor Gold Coin and two tons of silver. Only after signing an invoice did Zul'ra order the suspension of the ironclad ship project and the resumption of firepower. As for the previous batch of orders, they had already been completed, but he withheld them for the time being to conceal the manufacturing capacity.
Because the Alliance had too many orders, Zul'ra felt it necessary to cover things up, so he transferred some food orders to the Goblins. As for weapons, he was willing to transfer them, but the Goblins were unwilling to take them, as they did not have the mechanical manufacturing capabilities of the Horde.
