The curtain-like lightning storm suddenly snapped shut before the blade light unleashed by Zul'ra Jin could reach it. The blade light, several yards long, shattered into glowing fragments amid the lightning currents and vanished, while the vast storm rolled toward Zul'ra Jin and the others.
"Just keep casting. I'll handle this." Facing the storm bearing down like Mount Tai, Zul'ra Jin left those words behind, told the four dragons to continue their spell, and then waved a hand to summon a stream of flame.
The flowing flame followed Zul'ra Jin's hand, curling into a ring of fire that encircled him and the four dragons. Then the flames surged upward, forming a massive wall of fire. Riding the ever-present atmospheric elemental currents, they became a firestorm in the blink of an eye.
With rumbling thunder, the endless lightning storm crashed against the blazing firestorm. Rather than crushing straight through, it was as though it had struck an invisible wall and could not advance even an inch. Flames and lightning collided with countless deafening explosions, yet the storm could not break through.
Seeing that Zul'ra Jin had truly kept the endless lightning storm outside with his firestorm, the four dragons breathed sighs of relief in unison. They quickly continued casting, summoning the armies of dragonmen and dragonbeasts while preventing any wind elementals from breaking through and disrupting the process.
While the four dragons prepared to summon their massive army, Zul'ra Jin stood in the air, controlling the sweeping firestorm and resisting the lightning storm outside.
The firestorm created by Zul'ra Jin was much smaller than the lightning storm controlled by the wind elementals. However, because heated air naturally rose, no matter how hard the wind elementals tried, the lightning storm stretching across heaven and earth could not completely extinguish Zul'ra Jin's firestorm.
