Early the next morning, Karen began planning out the day's itinerary.

He first observed the direction from which he had arrived by gryphon yesterday.

Since Darkshire was the gryphon flight's first stop, they had flown straight from Stormwind City.

Karen remembered the direction they had come from, which meant he knew the direction of Stormwind City.

He found a simple map of the kingdom and connected Darkshire and Stormwind City with a straight line.

Then he aligned the line with the direction of Stormwind City.

Next, he sensed the direction of the magical mark and marked it on the paper.

By looking at the locations the marked route crossed on the map, then factoring in the approximate distance represented by the strength of the magical mark, he estimated the rough location of that spot.

Karen looked at the location on the map and compared it with the map of the Eastern Kingdoms of Azeroth from his previous life.

The magical mark was roughly located at... Deadwind Pass. So it was here.

The official description of Deadwind Pass was that it was the only passage between Duskwood and the Swamp of Sorrows. No minerals were produced there, and no plants could grow on that cursed land. Even insects refused to make it their home.

Only undead and ogres wandered there. No wonder Aegwynn had said in her magical message that the place was rarely visited.

It truly was a desolate place in the game. There were no herbs and no ore; aside from running Karazhan dungeons, no one would go there.

But that should have been after Medivh built Karazhan there.

Medivh, controlled by Sargeras, built a tall tower in the center of Deadwind Pass: Karazhan.

Karazhan continuously drew fel energy from the void, eventually polluting the land and completely ruining
