A small valley by the Well of Eternity had become a Burning Legion encampment. Demons filled the area, while enormous Portals towered everywhere. The Well of Eternity's magic supplied them with endless power, and they in turn brought Burning Legion warriors to Azeroth.

"This place is quite nice. How did you find it?" Legion commander Archimonde asked Xavius beside him.

"Heh heh, I'm glad you like it. I grew up here. It was also where the Kaldorei first arrived. This used to be Azar's home."

"Who is Azar? Is he famous?"

"The lord of Eldre'Thalas, Prince of the Kaldorei, and Azshara's husband. But he is no longer around."

"No longer around? Is he dead?"

"No. He sealed himself away."

"Why?"

"Because he felt powerless to resolve the social conflicts of the Kaldorei."

"What a worthless fool. If it were me, I'd have just killed my way through!"

"Tell me, where should we begin the attack?"

"Right here!" Xavius said, pointing to a spot on the map.

"Zin-Azshari? Why?"

"Take the city, capture Azshara, and force the lords into submission."

"Haha, a fine plan, but that isn't the Burning Legion's style. We can alter it slightly. Take the city, surround the Queen's Palace, draw those lords here to rescue her, then wipe them out."

"You are the commander. Your word is final."

"Good. Then let's do it. Begin the attack."

There was no rallying ceremony, no platform for appointing generals, no leader inspiring morale—there was nothing. There were only wave after wave of demons charging toward Zin-Azshari. They had no thoughts, no feelings, no teamwork. There was only forward, forward, and forward again. Any obstacle they encountered—kill it! Zin-Azshari's defenders fought bravely. They knew their queen was watching them, and they had to defend her. But they could not hold them
