Time flies, and three years have passed since Hogg arrived in this era. With their own strength, the two of them have completely settled down in Rome. As long as they don't speak out loud, they can walk down the street without issue, though they do attract the occasional curious onlooker.
However, over these three years, even with the help of the Wayne Family, Hogg has still failed to find Old Man Yellow from his childhood; it is as if he had evaporated into thin air, leaving no trace behind.
Hogg does not blame Old Thomas for his lack of progress. Over the years, the Wayne Family has treated them quite well, gradually accepting them as part of the household—they don't even avoid them when discussing how to dispose of a political rival.
Riding his still-lucid good brother, and led by the lackey Nero, the trio arrived at a flower shop. Hogg intended to get some lavender to use as dye for the wedding robe he was making for the soon-to-be-married Bruce.
Sigh! Why does everyone nowadays like purple? Black is clearly the most badass color. Such poor taste.
Despite his grumbling, Hogg used his canine nose to sniff out the quality of the flower beds, picking out the best lavender from the bunch.
The merchants in Rome were long accustomed to these two special guests. Everyone was fond of these two magical animals; on one hand, Hogg and his companion were quite striking, which was a novelty to the sheltered locals.
On the other hand, the two of them were never short on money. All expenses were covered by the Wayne Family, and even if they didn't pay on the spot, the merchants knew they could just go to Nero for reimbursement.
Of course, Romans are not all saints.
