Background / History

Neoth was born when the human Shamans of ancient Terra carried out a mass ritual suicide, concentrating their psychic might through a mother to create an immensely powerful psychic being. As a Perpetual, he subsequently lived through vast stretches of human history, repeatedly adopting new identities while humanity prospered across the galaxy. 375 744

After returning from the Warp to find Terra reduced to a wasteland of Techno-barbarian states, Neoth became the Emperor and began the Unification Wars with Malcador and other Perpetual allies. Human faith strengthened him as he unified the planet and rose as the Master of Mankind. 591

To pursue humanity’s resurgence, he launched the Great Crusade and created twenty-one Primarchs. He later admitted that their creation involved a bargain with daemons using humanity’s future as collateral. 1 591
