As the saying went, power was the manifestation of the mind. Hogg's higher-dimensional traits were mainly reflected in two aspects.

One was just like the throne beside Hogg's backside: Erosion and Distortion. This was Hogg's winning method for devouring other powers and strengthening himself. Whether it was a Warp Daemon or a C'tan Shard, Hogg could consume it through physical digestion.

Take the C'tan Shard the Emperor had fed Hogg at the very beginning, for example. It could hardly even be called a shard; it was more like a bit of Void Dragon dandruff.

But even that tiny amount had taken Hogg a full two years to digest and convert. Only afterward had he awakened his own unique Psionic Energy, and from that point on, he had never looked back on the path of gluttony.

Just like the Zerg's devouring evolution, this higher-dimensional trait let Hogg steadily grow stronger like a snowball, even without the Warp Essence possessed by the other Primarchs. He could bully them before they had even awakened.

That was also why his Psionic Energy had started out emerald green and gradually turned scarlet. Its color depended entirely on what Hogg had eaten recently. If his diet was varied, his Psionic Energy could even shimmer in all seven colors of the rainbow.

Of course, now that Hogg had grown so much stronger, there was basically nothing left that could change the nature of his Psionic Energy. Back when it shifted toward purplish red, he'd had no choice.

The other trait was the priority of his domain, founded on Hogg's will.

As a higher-dimensional remnant, Hogg couldn't be forcibly changed by Warp sorcery or C'tan Power. Things like mental corruption and psychic enchantment weren't even fit to carry his shoes, since they went against his own will.
