A month later, Hogg was finally taken back by Blackwatch, exhausted and dazed, able to do little more than babble. He sank into his loyal sofa.

For a whole month, Hogg had been an utterly tireless human fabrication machine. He'd worked nonstop without eating or drinking, rubbing his hands until they smoked, just to meet the quota the Emperor had set for him.

Looking at the mountain of supplies in the Dimensional Warehouse, Hogg felt that every last bit of it was hard-earned money. He'd never take another side job like this again.

He called over Ross, his idiot son, handed him an entire warehouse full of rare materials, and told him to hurry them over to the Mars forge. He also told him to check on the progress of the Blacklight's reconstruction.

When it came to his father's private stash, Ross promised on the spot that he'd put it to good use and spend every bit where it counted. He'd bring the Blacklight back to their home planet when the time came.

Ross might have indulged in all five vices, but Hogg trusted him with this. After all, the Blacklight was Blackwatch's flagship, and Ross had spent more time aboard than Hogg himself. He was the best person to supervise the work.

As a Gloriana-class Battleship, the Blacklight certainly wouldn't be completed anytime soon. That meant the Moyu was destined to be Hogg's home for the time being.

He climbed into the soft bed. He couldn't figure out why Ginny had given up something this nice to squeeze in with Jill, but the soft sheets were very much to his liking, and did wonders for his exhaustion.
