Hogg's words were full of holes, especially that line, "I'm the Emperor!" It sounded just like a thief crying, "Stop, thief!" No sane person would believe him.
Although the Primarchs were emotionally unstable problem children, they were still generally more intelligent than ordinary people. They saw through Hogg at a glance.
"Brother, you're making this really difficult for us! Do you want us to start calling you Mom? And where exactly did the Emperor go? You didn't eat him, did you?"
Guilliman's suspicions were perfectly reasonable. After one blow after another, he no longer had any faith in the Emperor or Hogg's morals. Either of them could do just about anything.
Feeling the powerful energy surging inside him, Hogg had never felt better. That mysterious psionic power, in particular, made him feel like he could punch the whole world to pieces.
Stepping down from the withered Golden Throne, Hogg—now wearing the Emperor's body—approached Guilliman, patted him on the head like a dog, and said:
"Wayward son, I am the Master of Mankind. How dare you speak to me like that? Believe me, I'll toss you into the Warp and let those four useless idiots take turns working you over."
Guilliman frowned again, while Dorn, who had just come in, felt a pang of discomfort. Only Curze and the others crowded around to inspect their big brother's new appearance.
"Big brother, you really didn't eat the Yellow Weasel, did you? Why are you still wearing Malice's clothes? You look so slutty!"
When even a useless idiot like Curze could tell who he was, Hogg lost all interest. Half the fun drained away in an instant. He stood there with his hands on his hips and called to the Emperor's soul inside him:
"Yellow Weasel, say something already! Quit playing dead and
