When Guilliman opened his eyes again, he found himself no longer in the laboratory but lying in a soft, warm bed. Even his lower body, which had been severed at the waist, had been reattached. He just felt a little weak, as if he were anemic.
"Anemia? That's bad!"
As a Primarch, Guilliman could never suffer from anemia. The only explanation was that someone had drained his blood, and a lot of it, leaving even his powerful body feeling weak.
With that much blood plasma in Hogg's hands, Guilliman had no idea what kind of trouble the bastard might cause. He'd only been talking nonsense earlier. Surely Hogg hadn't taken him seriously?
"No, I have to stop Hogg right away. This is absurd."
He threw off the covers and had barely gotten out of bed when dizziness washed over him, proof of just how weak he was. But Guilliman couldn't worry about that now. He had to find Hogg as quickly as possible.
However, when he pushed open the door, there was no corridor beyond it. Instead, he stepped into another hospital room, where Roland was lying in a bed.
"Hey, Guilliman, you're awake! You scared the hell out of us. I never thought even a Primarch could suffer a sudden brain hemorrhage. I'll have to take better care of myself from now on. Want to try some brown sugar and goji berry tea? I hear it's good for replenishing blood and keeping your complexion healthy. Especially those little red berries—they taste so sweet."
Eat, eat, eat. All you ever think about is food, you fat cat. And what the hell do you mean, replenishing blood and keeping your complexion healthy? You've replenished your blood just fine, but my sons are about to be thrown into the Warp to die
