In his mind, Pablo had many prefixes he could attach to the word war. He was not some pitiable machine with everything ground away by battle—at least, he did not think he was. Between fights, Pablo liked to write jokes of his own, or imagine what the father he had never met might have looked like.

Though he had already lost the ability to feel familial affection, he still enjoyed passing the time that way.

Only, he had never imagined that one day he would be able to add the prefix "simple" before the word war.

But in the thirty-seven minutes since the teleport ended, everything he had seen had been telling him that fact.

This was a simple war.

They had never fought shoulder to shoulder with a Primarch before. Perhaps the elders of the Mother Chapter had been fortunate enough to witness such a sight, but for them, this was the first time. And this kind of battle... without exaggeration, Pablo even felt that, led by that towering figure ahead of them, they could kill any enemy that stood in their way.
