Background / History
Xiao Yi Xian was born with the Poisonous Body of Misfortune. At three years old, she lost her mother and everyone else in her village, surviving alone without understanding what had happened. When she later told Su Yun about the disaster, he initially suspected a massacre by an outside killer 12.
Su Yun rescued her from Bone-Eating Wolves and identified her constitution through his system’s scanning function. He took her to his old house in Wutan City and taught her Dou Qi cultivation. Although he initially valued her future potential, their daily life together developed into genuine affection 12 13 20.
For a long time, Su Yun delayed deliberately awakening her poison body while seeking a way to prevent its eventual eruption. After his system’s Fusion Function supplied a solution, he showed her the Seven-Colored Poison Scripture. She realized that her constitution had caused the deaths in her village, including her mother’s. Overwhelmed by guilt, she cried until she lost consciousness and initially withdrew from him 39 108.
Su Yun reassured her that her constitution could be controlled. She then swallowed poison to activate it, beginning the rapid cultivation growth that would allow her to accompany him rather than remain under his protection 109 110 116.
Appearance
Xiao Yi Xian normally has long black hair, dark eyes, fair skin, and a slender waist. Activating the Poisonous Body of Misfortune changes her hair to silver or white and her eyes to grayish-purple 147 172 235 380.
- Constitution mark: A thin, seven-colored line on her lower abdomen, present since birth 108.
- Clothing: Wears a long purple-and-white dress after emerging from Netherworld Poison Flame refinement 378.
- Combat transformation: Her altered hair and eye colors visibly reveal the activation of her poison body 321 380.
Personality
Xiao Yi Xian is naturally kind and affectionate. As a child, she is eager for Su Yun’s attention but lacks his dedication to prolonged cultivation. She quickly adapts to their household, preparing meals and finding happiness simply in being with him 13 23 49. Learning the truth about her village exposes a deep vulnerability: she blames herself for deaths caused by a constitution she had not understood 108.
Her central ambition becomes standing beside Su Yun as an equal. She trains in the arena to improve her practical fighting ability and refuses to be left behind once she is strong enough to contribute. Against enemies, her usual gentleness gives way to direct attacks and killing intent; the narration explicitly associates this change with Su Yun’s influence 161 172 321.
Her affection also includes jealousy and increasingly assertive behavior. She reacts possessively to Zi Yan’s attention toward Su Yun and later becomes preoccupied with having children. After condensing her Poison Pill, she restrains Su Yun with spatial power and forces him to take an aphrodisiac; the subsequent revelation of her desire for offspring creates tension between them 177 387 410.
Abilities & Skills
Poisonous Body of Misfortune
- Poison-based cultivation: Swallowing and refining poison rapidly increases her cultivation. Ordinary cultivation bottlenecks offer little obstruction once the danger of eruption is controlled 110 125.
- Source Poison Qi: Its quality is exceptionally high and strengthens as her cultivation rises. Her cultivation method absorbs some of it while refining poison 129.
- Combat amplification: Deliberately opening the constitution increases her poison power and fighting strength beyond her base realm 172 207 379.
- Poison detection: Senses Zhang Wei secretly poisoning Zi Yan before Su Yun notices the attack 153.
- Control: Su Yun confirms that her poison body is completely controlled and no longer risks erupting 211.
- Resource limit: Higher realms demand stronger poisons. Su Yun expects advancement at the Dou Sheng stage to become difficult because suitable toxins are almost nonexistent 193 398.
Lingyun Immortal
- Evolving cultivation method: Refines toxins and absorbs the constitution’s source poison power to increase its own tier 129 207.
- Faster refinement: Its Low Earth Tier evolution substantially accelerates poison absorption and cultivation 147.
- Feedback effect: As her cultivation increases, the method strengthens the poison power of her constitution 225.
- Documented tiers: Low Earth Tier, Middle Earth Tier, Quasi Heaven Tier, and Low Heaven Tier 129 207 379 388.
Netherworld Poison Flame
- Heavenly Flame: Ranked twentieth on the Heavenly Flame Ranking and obtained in the Netherworld Poison Swamp 371 373.
- Poison compatibility: Its toxins strongly attract her constitution and provide far greater cultivation benefits than its fire energy 373.
- Fusion: Eventually merges with her Poison Pill and Poisonous Body of Misfortune during Poison Qi Rune formation 427.
- Offensive use: Releases poisonous flame attacks, including a flame ribbon that shatters Venerable Bing’s ice blade 380.
- Lethality: Su Yun judges the fused origin poison capable of seriously troubling even a true Dou Sheng 435.
Poison Pill and Poison Qi Runes
- Poison Pill formation: Compresses her bodily toxins into a tangible pill in her Dantian, stimulating the production of additional source poison power 307 387.
- Required materials: Three kinds of Heavenly Flames, Bodhi Transforming Body Saliva, and a Seventh-Tier Heavenly Poison Scorpion Dragon Beast’s magic core 307.
- Purpose: She no longer needs the Poison Pill to prevent eruption; it is pursued for improved poison control and a major cultivation increase 307.
- Poison Qi Runes: An inherited method further compresses the Poison Pill. In her case, simultaneous fusion with the Netherworld Poison Flame produces a much greater increase than compression alone 412 427.
Spirit Cloud Transformation
- Origin: A poison-attribute variant created by Su Yun through fusion of the first transformation of the Heavenly Flame Three Mysterious Changes 427.
- Function: Temporarily increases strength through poison-attribute spiritual objects 427.
- Enhanced fuel: After the flame and constitution merge, the technique can mobilize both the Netherworld Poison Flame and her constitution’s source poison power 427.
- Stacking: Can be used together with full poison-body activation to reach One-Star Dou Sheng combat strength from Half-Saint cultivation 494.
- Aftereffects: Prolonged use leaves her weakened. Her comparatively limited physique and incomplete mastery make the enormous amplification physically taxing 434.
- Mastery limit: Despite sustained study, she has reached only minor accomplishment by the battle against seven One-Star Dou Shengs 555.
Dou Techniques and Supporting Skills
| Technique / Skill | Grade | Documented use |

| Slaughter Poison Seal | Low Heaven Tier | Condenses poisonous miasma containing flame into a purple seal during the Nine Netherworld Python Clan operation 539. |
| Phantom Decoy Art | Not stated | Alters her aura for an infiltration disguise 235. |

Combat Benchmarks
| Base cultivation | Demonstrated or assessed combat strength |

| Newly advanced Dou Emperor | Approximately Three-Star Dou Emperor through her method alone, rising to Seven-Star Dou Emperor after activating her constitution 207. |
| Two-Star Dou Venerate | Estimates Four-Star Peak Dou Venerate strength from constitution activation; her flame and cultivation method provide additional power 379. |
| Peak Five-Star Dou Venerate | Estimates Eight-Star Peak Dou Venerate strength with the poison body open, reaching Nine-Star Dou Venerate with Lingyun Immortal’s support 388. |
| Six-Revolving Dou Venerate | Su Yun conservatively estimates Nine-Turn Peak Dou Venerate through Spirit Cloud Transformation and Half-Saint combat strength when poison-body activation is added 427 430. |
| Half-Saint | Confirms One-Star Dou Sheng combat strength through combined amplification; later traps seven One-Star Dou Shengs in poisonous miasma 494 554. |
