Background / History

Su Yun was transmigrated from Earth and reborn into poverty in Wutan City. Having lived two lives gave him a stronger soul and an adult mindset; by age six, he had cultivated to three segments of Dou Qi. Aware that strength determined survival on the Douqi Continent, he avoided the major families and focused on secluded cultivation. His parents later died, leaving him without a family foundation. 1 12

After his System appeared, Su Yun discovered Fire, Ice, and Wood attributes. The Fire-Wood combination qualified him for alchemy, while his rare opposing Fire-Ice affinities led him to create the Fennel Cold Art by fusing the Flame Mantra with another technique. 6

He saved the orphan Xiao Yi Xian from magical beasts, brought her to Wutan City, and raised her as his younger sister. Their relationship later became an engagement. 12 85

Using transferred alchemical experience from Yao Chen, Su Yun rapidly became a Fourth Grade Alchemist while only a Dou Shi. Su Yun is pragmatic, cautious, and strongly motivated by survival. As a child, he deliberately remained in Wutan City rather than taking risks before he had sufficient strength; later, he withdrew from fights once their rewards no longer justified the danger. 1 53
