Background / History

Early life

Qing Lin was born with mixed human and Snake-Person blood. Her visible green scales made her a target of discrimination; she repeatedly tried to tear them from her arm, but they always grew back. Her human mother died from overwork, after which Qing Lin was captured by human traffickers. 81

Su Yun found her imprisoned in a cage, recognized the snake scales near her wrist, and bought her for 100 Gold Coins. He named her Qing Lin and took her into his care. 81

Early cultivation

Su Yun prepared Foundation Establishment Spiritual Liquid to activate and cultivate Qing Lin's Triple Jade-Green Snake Flower Pupils, knowing that the pupils' true cultivation path depended on controlling snake-type Magical Beasts. Qing Lin soon entered the Dou Qi stage. 110 111

She later received a Snake Saint inheritance through Su Yun's soul-transmission method. The inheritance included a secret technique that concealed her distinctive pupils, allowing her eyes to appear normal unless she deliberately activated them. 181

Snake-People conflict

During the conflict with the Snake People Race, Qing Lin devised the plan that allowed her and Zi Yan to escape eight Snake-Person Dou Wangs. She controlled Mo Bas and another captured Dou Wang, turned them against their comrades, and ordered them to self-destruct, eliminating several enemies. 226 227

After Su Yun's group defeated the Snake People elders, Qing Lin took control of all four and stored them within her eye-space. She then asked Su Yun to accompany her to her mother's mass grave, where she mourned and sought his comfort. 229 230

Growth into a major combatant

Su Yun gave Qing Lin a Soul Origin, allowing her Soul Power to reach Mortal Realm Late-stage and substantially increasing the scale of Magical Beasts she could control. 257

Her later Spirit Realm breakthrough enabled her to control Eighth-Tier Magical Beasts, while the Azure Jade Nether Pupils further expanded her sensory and control abilities. 308 311

Qing Lin has an oval face, black hair, and a slender build. Her mixed heritage is marked by green snake scales near her wrist; her eyes normally appear dark and bright after she learned to conceal her pupils. 81 181
