Saturday afternoon, downstairs from Bei Wei's apartment.
When Zhang Yang drove the Bentley downstairs, he immediately spotted Bei Wei waiting with her bicycle. She looked like she'd been there for a while.
"Brother Zhang." She smiled brightly, dressed in a long black dress, and leaned forward slightly.
As Bei Wei leaned against the car window, Zhang Yang caught the pleasant scent of her shampoo.
He got out, shut the door, and gave the fresh-faced, sweet Bei Wei a quick hug before glancing at the bicycle beside them.
It was quite old-fashioned, and it looked like it would creak with every turn. He had no idea where she'd dug it up.
"Where'd you buy this?"
"Found it at a secondhand market." Bei Wei wheeled the bicycle a couple of steps to show him. "See? It looks old, but everything's in good shape."
"As long as it doesn't fall apart." Zhang Yang straddled the bicycle to test it, then smiled and patted the back seat. "Hop on."
Bei Wei lifted her skirt slightly and wrapped her arms around his waist as she climbed onto the back seat.
A moment later, Zhang Yang pedaled along briskly with Bei Wei on the back, riding through the neighborhood and leisurely down the streets, with a string of laughter trailing behind him.
"Do you know it's the beginning of summer today?"
"The beginning of summer?" Zhang Yang murmured, suddenly realizing.
It was already the beginning of summer?
A breeze from the start of summer brushed past them. The girl on the back of his bicycle was the same one who sat in the passenger seat of his Bentley. The feeling was just like being in love.
So it really was possible to have youth and the feeling of being young at the same time.
