Background / History

Li Jinshui began as a security guard at Green Osmanthus Garden. After discovering the Heaven Rewards Diligence plaque, he learned that danger sharply accelerated his martial-art proficiency and deliberately used risky situations to improve his Basic Stance Technique. He entered Stake Standing initiation while training alone in a security booth. 2 6

His conflict with Captain Liu—also known as Liu Daqiang—escalated after Liu spread word that Li was an orphan carrying severance money and had only recently entered Stake Standing. Both criminal groups and legitimate security interests subsequently sought him out. Li fled Green Osmanthus Garden, remained at Darong City No. 51 Martial Arts High School, and relied on exotic beast meat, potions, and dangerous encounters to continue cultivating. 7 12 14

Li entered the Delivery Youth Training Camp as its only Grade-A recruit. He received high-value resources in exchange for a ten-year delivery-work obligation, became squad leader and class monitor, and rapidly mastered Lightning Pulse Step. His displayed elite-family background intimidated fellow trainees, though Huang Lichen's investigation characterized him as a con artist and suspected he had histrionic personality disorder. 21 22 23 24 28

After Weihu Security blacklisted him, Li negotiated resources and support to become a delivery-station chief in a dangerous outer-city district. He left the camp as a Flawless First-Rate Martial Artist and defended his station against the Drifter Gang, defeating hundreds of martial artists before leading retaliatory attacks against several gang strongholds. 30 36 41 44

Later, Li cultivated additional stake techniques until he possessed Thousand-Jun-level force. His involvement with a stolen King-rank exotic beast tendon brought him into direct conflict with the Inspection Bureau and Weihu Security Company; he killed multiple Thousand-Jun Realm opponents while protecting the secret of having consumed the tendon. 57 59 60 61

Personality

Li is intensely ambitious and treats strength as the basis for safety, status, and freedom. He endures extreme pain, consumes costly cultivation resources without hesitation, and actively seeks dangerous combat because Heaven Rewards Diligence rewards it. 14 31 43

He is also opportunistic, theatrical, and manipulative. He repeatedly deceives Yao Xiaona for money, adopts an aristocratic persona to control trainees, and shifts between humility and authority depending on what benefits him. 11 24 37

Li presents himself as righteous and merciful toward non-martial artists, but he can be ruthlessly pragmatic toward enemies and witnesses. Following his mass killing of gang members, he acknowledges developing a “heart demon” from the bloodshed. 41 43 47 61
