Zhou Qiubai nodded.
They had grown tired of slaughter and sectarian strife, retiring to an unnamed fishing village by the East Sea. Later, the village expanded and became a city.
"The rules those four seniors established are still in force today," the triangular-eyed merchant continued. "Canghai City has no city gates and no guards. Soul Masters and ordinary people live together, and no one is allowed to bully anyone else. Whoever breaks this rule, no matter their background, will be driven out of the city and never permitted to enter again."
Zhou Qiubai fell silent for a long while.
On the Douluo Continent, a world where Soul Power reigned supreme and the strong were the law, there was actually a city founded on rules like these. It had to be said, it was somewhat defiant of heaven.
Or perhaps simply strange in a refreshing way.
Yet where did the confidence to go against the current come from?
It came from City Lord Dantai, who could throw a Title Douluo one-handed; from the four Title Douluo seniors who had retired after tiring of bloodshed; and from the absolute deterrence of Canghai Tower, whose hundredth floor no one had ever reached.
This city had no need for walls or guards, because its strongest guardian had long since taken its stand upon the highest ground of its rules.
After setting out from Wanghai Market, they traveled for another four full days.
At noon on the fifth day, the main road curved around a pine forest and suddenly came to an end.
At the final bend, the view opened up completely.
At the end of the stone-paved
