Jiraiya's impression of Guy rose to a new level

Two and a half days later.

Two figures racing along came to an abrupt halt at the border of the Land of Rain.

They were Jiraiya and Guy.

Jiraiya glanced at Guy beside him, the corner of his mouth twitching slightly.

"What an... absolute freak."

He was inwardly stunned.

During his two days in Konoha, Jiraiya had obtained the official documents signed by Minato Namikaze.

He had also picked up the antidote Tsunade had painstakingly prepared.

Then he immediately called Guy over and set off.

With his students weighing on his mind, Jiraiya had unconsciously picked up his pace considerably.

At first, he had worried that Guy would be unable to keep up.

But as they continued, he made a shocking discovery.

No matter how much he accelerated, Guy stayed steadily on his heels.

There was no sign of him falling behind. He seemed completely at ease.

Jiraiya had even secretly pushed himself to full speed.

The result... was still the same!

His speed seemed hardly worth mentioning next to Guy's!

Jiraiya now had a rough idea of a fraction of Guy's strength.

"A freak just like Tsunade..."

He muttered to himself, then began surveying their surroundings.

"The Land of Rain is just ahead."

"The terrain here has been torn up, and there are traces of blood. There must have been..."

Before Jiraiya could finish—

"I know."

Guy interrupted him, saying calmly, "This is where I fought the Seven Ninja Swordsmen."

Jiraiya was surprised.

He carefully examined the pitted ground and snapped trees around them.

And the dark brown stains that had seeped into the soil, still faintly visible even after so much time.

He was secretly alarmed.

"This much destruction... it really must have been a terrifying battle!"
