Several days later.
Guy appeared deep within the Land of Wind, carrying Little Sha Wujing on his back.
As he continued onward, the raging wind and sand gradually subsided.
Eventually, they died down almost completely.
Guy raised his head and looked ahead, a wave of emotion crossing his face.
Before him lay an oasis stretching as far as the eye could see.
It teemed with life.
It stood in stark contrast to the endless yellow sands he had traveled through.
Its vast expanse was several times larger than the canyon oasis where Sunagakure stood.
Rolling grasslands, dense trees, and even faintly visible lakes and farmland formed a picture of peace and prosperity.
"So this is the interior of the Land of Wind? Not quite what I expected!"
Guy marveled inwardly.
Though the Land of Wind had a vast territory, over eighty percent of it was barren desert.
This astonishingly large oasis was probably the heartland where the Land of Wind's Daimyo's Palace stood.
"Now that's extravagance."
Disdain appeared on Guy's face.
He knew the Land of Wind was a rotten place.
The Daimyo of the Land of Wind cared only about his own pleasure, paying no heed to the hardships of the border regions or his people.
Almost the entire Land of Wind relied on Sunagakure to hold the line against foreign enemies, while the daimyo hid far behind the front lines, indulging in luxury.
But seeing this oasis firsthand, far larger than Sunagakure and so rich in resources that it was worlds apart from the surrounding desert...
Guy still could not help reflecting on it.
"No wonder Rasa resorted to such extremes."
"If it were me, I'd probably go even further, wouldn't I?"
Given the Land of Wind's fractured leadership and populace, lack of internal unity, and powerful enemies
