The Daimyo of the Land of Wind frowned but did not pursue whether the name was real.
He studied Guy with a sharp gaze, then looked at the guards and steward standing tensely on either side. "Leave us."
"My lord! We don't know who this man is. It's too dangerous to stay here alone with him!"
A guard captain spoke up urgently.
The daimyo looked at him, a trace of weariness and resignation in his voice.

"Whether you stay or go makes little difference."
He paused, then added, looking at Guy:
"If he'd wanted to attack, he had plenty of chances while tending to my body."
Guy smiled, his conical hat shifting slightly.
"You have a keen eye, my lord."
"To be honest, I don't consider your guards a threat."
"How arrogant!"
Anger flashed in a young guard's eyes.
He drew the sword at his waist and, disregarding the order, lunged at Guy!
Guy did not even turn around. He casually threw a punch behind him.
A tight, blazing orange-red flame suddenly ignited around his fist, without a hint of heat escaping!

His fist struck the flat of the blade with perfect precision.
Violent flames raced up the sword in an instant!
The guard felt an irresistible force slam into him.
The web of his hand split open, and the sword flew from his grasp.
Then the flames swept over his outer clothes and armor with extraordinary precision.
They turned to ash in an instant!
Yet his undershirt and skin were untouched. He did not feel so much as a sting of heat!
The guard flew backward and landed awkwardly on his backside.
