"I am really not gay!"
Listening to the inner voices of those around him, Kato Satsu screamed frantically in his mind.
At this moment, Kato Satsu was gripping the handle on the back of Ayanokoji Kiyotaka's seat with one hand, leaning over to lock eyes with him.
"What a passionate scene!" (A boy nearby)
"Good thing I didn't go up and ask for his contact info. To think he's actually gay." (A girl by the window)
If I told them Ayanokoji is my idol, would they believe me? Kato Satsu felt like crying without tears.
Since he was already here, how could he not interact with Ayanokoji? Driven by a collector's mentality, Kato Satsu had taken the initiative to strike up a conversation.
After all, he only had two goals for coming to this school: to graduate from Class A and to experience life in an anime world.
Mistaken identity? How could he possibly mistake the person? That dead-fish look on Ayanokoji's face was truly full of personality.
By now, Kato Satsu had attracted everyone's attention; even the usually indifferent Reine and Koenji had spared him a fleeting glance.
Thinking about it carefully, it seemed only natural that this scene would be misunderstood.
What kind of normal person's first move upon boarding a bus is to ask someone of the same sex for their contact information!
Well, this was a fine mess; he was riding a tiger and couldn't get off.
"Uh... let's just forget it."
Ayanokoji's emotionless voice rang out, shattering Kato Satsu's fantasies.
As expected, it wasn't going to be that easy.
Forget it. Getting hit on by a gay guy on the first day of school. (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)
"If he doesn't want it, I do! Look at me, I'm a handsome guy!" (A boy in the back row)
There's always a bigger fish!
These explosive inner voices made Kato Satsu shudder; he really had to watch his back while attending school!
Seeing that he had been rejected, Kato Satsu didn't linger, turning around to stand by the rear door while holding the handle.
After an incredibly long wait, Kato Satsu finally stood at the gates of Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School.
Cherry blossoms drifted past the tips of his hair at the school gate, showcasing the unique, fresh atmosphere of the first day of school. As if welcoming Kato Satsu, a few petals landed silently on his collar.
Watching students walk into the school in twos and threes, Kato Satsu stopped lingering and stepped slowly into his school life.
Not far away, a Toyota Century was parked quietly by the roadside, watching everything happening at the school gate.
"He has entered the school."
In the driver's seat, the man spoke in a low voice in fluent German while looking toward the passenger seat.
"Although the higher-ups told us to keep a low profile, but..."
"Anderson, isn't it a bit too low-profile to drive this car?"
Hearing the woman in the passenger seat, the man named Anderson was visibly stunned: "Hey, hey! I'm talking to you about your son, Kato Satsu, entering the school."
"And you're here telling me the car is too low-profile?"
"Also, don't speak Japanese when you're supposed to be speaking German! What, just because you're back in your homeland, you've forgotten how to speak it?"
"Fine, fine, you understood me anyway, didn't you?" The woman switched back to French and replied, stepping out of the car on her own accord.
"I'm going to get out and walk around. You head back first."
Anderson was a standard Nordic man, and compared to his casual attire, the woman's outfit was much more refined.
She looked to be in her twenties, wearing a black beret tilted slightly to the side, her long, jet-black hair cascading down like a waterfall, reaching her waist.
A black wool coat that reached her ankles outlined her slender silhouette, the entire look simple yet sophisticated.
"Hey! Snow Spider! Hey!"
"Damn ageless old hag!"
Seeing that Snow Spider ignored him, Anderson cursed under his breath and drove away alone.
Inside the campus, upon seeing his class, Kato Satsu couldn't help but slap his forehead hard.
If I'd known I was in Class D, I wouldn't have rashly approached Ayanokoji just now.
It's all this damn transmigration's fault. I didn't inherit the original owner's memories, so I can only rely on his diary to know about him.
Kato Satsu didn't arrive at the classroom particularly early; in fact, he was arguably the last one to arrive.
Back in the hallway, Kato Satsu had bumped into Chabashira Sae just as she was leaving the classroom.
She had naturally seen Kato Satsu, but she didn't seem displeased by his tardiness; she wore an indifferent expression and brushed past him as if he didn't exist.
Kato Satsu, however, paused to examine Chabashira's back with a gentleman's gaze.
"Hmm!"
After nodding in affirmation, Kato Satsu quickly realized that his tardiness was more severe than he had imagined.
Since she had already left the classroom, it meant the surface rules of the S system had already been explained to the class, and Hirata should be organizing the self-introductions by now.
Sure enough, before he even stepped through the door, Kikyo's voice reached his ears: "So, please, everyone, make sure to exchange contact information with me!"
"The self-introductions have already started," Kato Satsu muttered to himself as he walked into the classroom.
In an instant, the entire room fell silent, but countless inner voices surged into Kato Satsu's mind with the force of a tidal wave.
So he really came. (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)
Ayanokoji closed his eyes in resignation; until a short while ago, he had been hoping that the nameplate on the desk was just a coincidence of having the same name.
Unlucky. (Horikita Suzune)
Horikita Suzune glanced at Ayanokoji sitting beside her, then instinctively looked at the other seat next to her.
On that vacant desk, a nameplate with the words "Kato Satsu" was resting.
Sighing softly, Horikita Suzune withdrew her gaze and returned her focus to the book in her hands, titled Crime and Punishment.
To think he has a face like that! Damn normie. (Kanji Ike)
It was always like this; whenever Kato Satsu arrived anywhere, he would immediately draw everyone's attention. Over the past month, he had long since grown accustomed to it.
"It seems I'm late. Have the self-introductions already begun?" Kato Satsu broke the silent atmosphere first, speaking up.
"Not at all, classmate. We have only just started."
Hearing this, Kato Satsu took the initiative to pick up where Hirata left off: "In that case, I'll go next."
"My name is Kato Satsu. As for hobbies, I suppose I have an interest in languages. Please treat me well for the next three years."
Although he knew his introduction wasn't exactly stellar, hearing the chorus of agreement from most of the girls in the room, along with the bursts of applause, was enough.
He walked over to his seat and sat down, not forgetting to offer a polite smile to the two neighbors he had met on the bus.
Horikita Suzune did not get distracted, remaining focused on her book. Ayanokoji, however, although he didn't look at Kato Satsu, had plenty of internal monologue.
What a pity. (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)
Although he has a certain level of social ability, judging by his performance just now, his leadership skills don't measure up to Hirata. (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)
Even his absolute advantage in physical appearance is rendered useless due to his sexual orientation. (Ayanokoji Kiyotaka)
