Background / History

Sae was secretly dating Tano Matsuyama while Nagasawa Kuraku believed his gifts and points were supporting them both. Kuraku's affection for Sae was exploited by Matsuyama, including through a necklace Kuraku had given her that was later sold for 30,000 points. 3 4

After Kuraku was expelled, he hired Kato Satsu to pursue the expulsion of both Matsuyama and Sae. Sakayanagi Arisu approached Sae with this information, offering protection from expulsion and the recovery of lost points if Sae cooperated with her plan against Satsu. Sae, initially dismissive of Arisu, became frightened by Arisu's knowledge and agreed. 6 20

Sae visited Satsu's dormitory and attempted to frame him for sexual misconduct. She tore at her own clothing and tried to create a scene in which Hashimoto Masayoshi and Kamuro Mami could record Satsu as the aggressor. Satsu instead acted terrified and resisted her, reversing the appearance of the incident. 21

At the Student Council Disciplinary Committee hearing, Sae accused Satsu of propositioning and assaulting her. Video evidence contradicted her statement, and she ultimately admitted that the accusation had been a frame-up connected to Arisu. 22 23 She later withdrew her complaint after recognizing that continuing the case could leave her as the party punished or expelled. 25

Later, an explicit photo of Sae spread throughout the school overnight. The leak led to public harassment, avoidance by her classmates, and severe humiliation; the account that distributed the image was not real-name verified. 55 56

Appearance

During the attempt to frame Satsu, Sae deliberately adopted a professional-looking outfit to support the false scenario. 21

Personality

Sae initially presents herself with confidence and disdain, dismissing Arisu's approach because she sees little reason a first-year could assist her. Learning that Satsu had been contracted to expel her quickly unsettles her, however, and she recognizes Arisu as someone dangerous to oppose. 20

When threatened, Sae is willing to manipulate others for self-preservation. Her accusation against Satsu relies on a carefully performed image of fragility and distress, but she abandons the complaint once its consequences appear likely to turn against her. 22 25

She is strongly protective of her dignity. Being mistaken for a prostitute provokes an immediate violent outburst, while the spread of her explicit photo leaves her frightened, confused, and humiliated. 55
