Obtaining the Scroll of Sealing

The Sky Screen continued playing.

"Roar!"

A wildly ferocious roar tore through the sky as the enormous Nine-Tails appeared in the center of Konoha, its vast and terrifying Chakra sweeping across heaven and earth.

"This is truly terrifying! This Chakra is crushing my Soul Power circulation to the point of almost stopping!"

Yu Zhi sighed.

Dugu Bo could no longer hold back. His eyes burned as he hurriedly urged in a low voice, "Little Monster, the time has come. We should get moving!"

Suppressing the excitement surging within him, Yu Zhi remained composed. He raised a hand to signal him to wait and explained in a deep voice, "A little longer. We'll wait until the Third Hokage, Sarutobi Hiruzen, personally leads people to the front line."

"In the Shinobi World, every Kage has an exclusive guard unit by their side. Their combat strength cannot be underestimated."

"The Fourth Hokage's guard unit was probably already slaughtered by that Masked Man, but the Third Hokage's guard unit has yet to appear."

"As long as Sarutobi Hiruzen heads to the battlefield to suppress the chaos, his guards will certainly accompany him, leaving the rear undefended. That will be our best opportunity."

The two quietly lay low in the shadows and waited patiently. Before long, they saw Sarutobi Hiruzen, clad in battle armor and wearing a grave expression, leading a large group toward the front lines where the Nine-Tails was wreaking havoc.

His and Dugu Bo's objective was clear: they headed straight for Konoha's core stronghold, the Hokage Building.

They had already gathered the information beforehand. As for how?

Simple! Just find a few Konoha thugs bullying someone at random and ask them!

Before long, the two quietly arrived outside the Hokage Building.

With the village in chaos, panic filled the building. Large numbers of civilian ninja were hurriedly packing their things and evacuating for safety.

"Old Poisoner, pick the weakest one and take them down for questioning!"

Yu Zhi swept his gaze around and immediately came up with a plan.

Just what he needed. He had been worrying about which room held the Scroll of Sealing, and now the information had come right to him!

"Alright!"

Without another word, Dugu Bo flashed forward and silently abducted a civilian ninja who was fleeing in panic.

Yu Zhi did not waste time. He activated his Sharingan and unleashed his fourth Soul Skill: Mind Control!

As for its effect?

It was barely comparable to Professor X!

Only Soul Sages could struggle against it!

In mere moments, he had searched the man's mind and found the exact location where the Scroll of Sealing was kept.

The two did not linger. Taking advantage of the chaos, they swiftly infiltrated the building and headed straight for their target.

Just as they reached the corridor on that floor, they heard an urgent voice calling out.

"Move faster! Transfer everything immediately! The Hokage Building is too close to the Nine-Tails and far too dangerous. We must get these things out as soon as possible!"

Yu Zhi looked up and saw a Konoha jonin leading three genin as they hurried outside.

Combined with what he had just heard, he immediately understood. They were transferring the Scroll of Sealing!

That had been close! They had nearly failed at the last moment!

"Old Poisoner, act now! Knock them out!" Yu Zhi said in a low voice.

A fierce glint flashed through Dugu Bo's eyes. He fully activated the Medusa Skull, firing a cold Petrification Beam that precisely enveloped the level eighty-five jonin and the three genin.

"Medusa's Gaze!"

Before the words had even faded, the Petrification Beam instantly spread through all four of them, freezing their bodies stiff in an instant.

Like four lifelike stone statues, even the expressions on their faces were fixed in place. They could not move at all, and even their Chakra was completely frozen.

Having succeeded in one move, Dugu Bo showed no mercy. With a lift of his hand, pale purple Jade Phosphorus Poison mist silently spread out, precisely covering the four stone statues.

Unlike the widespread expansion of a poison domain, he deliberately controlled the poison's concentration this time, releasing only enough to render them unconscious!

As they spoke, Yu Zhi quickly stepped forward and searched the unconscious Konoha jonin's clothes. Before long, he found a Sealing Scroll.

After confirming that it was genuine, the weight hanging over his heart finally lifted.
