Danzo froze, utterly stunned. He had never imagined his opponent's poison would be so overpowering.
Merely standing beside the Dream Tapir and inhaling a little air laced with poison left his head swimming and a bloody sweetness rising in his throat.
"Damn it! Root's intelligence clearly said his body was powerful. How could his poison be this strong?!"
Shocked and furious, Danzo endured the poison churning through his body and the pain of his old wounds, driving wind chakra to envelop himself in an attempt to boost his speed and escape.
But when he had used Izanagi earlier, he had activated it just before stabbing Susanoo with his kunai. He had only rewritten the outcome of being crushed by Susanoo; the injuries from his earlier struggle with Fugaku had not healed in the slightest. He refused to accept defeat, much less become a prisoner!
He abruptly raised his hand and tore open his robes, a resolve to die burning in his eyes as a grand, tragic sense of heroism welled up within him.
"Hiruzen... it seems I'll be going on ahead! This time, the one protecting Konoha is me!"
Determined to take his enemy down with him, he prepared to activate the Four Symbols Seal. Yet at the very instant he was about to act, his entire body suddenly froze!
"Huh???"
The motion of pulling open his robes stopped halfway. His meridians, flesh, and chakra all seized up, leaving him unable to move a fraction.
"Wh... what's happening?!" Danzo's pupils contracted, disbelief flooding his mind.
Dugu Bo walked forward slowly, his smile cold and mocking. "Petrification Beam. You were so swept up in your heroic fervor just now that you never noticed."
He paused, then enunciated every word. "Besides, that Little Monster warned me long ago that you'd jump over the wall like a cornered dog at the end. It's called the Four Symbols Seal, isn't it?"
Danzo's whole body was rigid. He could not even speak; only his eyes, filled with towering hatred and defiance, could glare at Dugu Bo.
"To be safe, I'd better add another precaution."
Dugu Bo's expression remained indifferent as he stepped closer and acted swiftly, without the slightest mercy.
Crack! Crack!
Several crisp snaps of breaking bones rang out in succession.
With his bare hands, he forcibly broke all four of Danzo's limbs, then condensed an intensely potent jade phosphorous poison and injected all of it into Danzo's body.
The deadly poison instantly ravaged his internal organs, yet Dugu Bo controlled it precisely, sparing his life and leaving him with only a thread of breath.
The fighting soon died down completely. Root had been wiped out to the last man.
Yu Zhi crouched and searched Danzo, pulling out several storage scrolls in succession.
He unrolled them one by one. Most contained intelligence and schemes targeting the Uchiha Clan. Yu Zhi remained expressionless, but the Uchiha beside him seethed with anger as they read.
When he reached the final scroll, he found information about Tang San recorded on it. The Mysterious Heaven Skill and the Tang Sect Records were all there, along with even the Disorder Splitting Wind Hammer.
God King Tang had been stripped bare, right down to his underwear!

"Don't tell me the clan leader's turning spineless again!"
Someone immediately muttered those words!
Fugaku glared at the man and hurried to continue!
"But the look in your eyes tells me you'll never leave the Uchiha Clan alone! Today, you will die!"
He raised his hand, about to strike, but Dugu Bo beside him had long since lost patience.
"Quit dragging your feet!"
He smashed his fist into Danzo's skull. After a dull thud, the left half of Danzo's head shattered, killing him on the spot.
Fugaku's raised hand froze in midair, making the scene painfully awkward.
The clansmen paid no attention to that, however. Seeing their greatest menace executed, they immediately cheered at the top of their lungs.
"Danzo is dead!"
"Good! The Uchiha's honor cannot be violated!"
"Let the village witness the Uchiha's fury!"
