Old Kai

Shin and Kibito were resurrected by the Namek Shenron.

"Incredible!!!"

"We were actually resurrected?"

Shin and Kibito both wore expressions of utter disbelief.

"What about Babidi and Dabura?"

The two searched all around, until they discovered the eggshell that had sealed Majin Buu.

Shin's face turned pale with terror! He retreated repeatedly, hurriedly fleeing with Kibito back to the Sacred World of the Kai.

When Babidi had resurrected Majin Buu, Shin and Kibito had appeared to stop him, but it was useless; they couldn't defeat Dabura and were killed instantly. After Majin Buu was resurrected, Dabura provoked him and was eaten as a snack by Majin Buu.

On the Sacred World of the Kai:

"That demon, he really came out!!"

The terror of Majin Buu was deeply etched into Shin's mind. Just thinking of Majin Buu's harmless-looking face made Shin tremble all over.

"It's too terrifying!"

Shin collapsed to the ground, his eyes vacant, not knowing what to do.

"Lord Shin, you must pull yourself together! You are the only one who can protect this universe!!"

Seeing Shin collapsed on the ground, Kibito hurried to help him up, cheering him on.

After a long while, Shin finally pulled himself together. Kibito was right; he could not fall.

Thus, the two returned to Earth to gather information. From the mouths of those who had been resurrected, they confirmed that Majin Buu had truly been resurrected and had killed many people on Earth.

However, even after Shin and Kibito searched cautiously and carefully on Earth for a long time, they found no trace of Babidi or Majin Buu. They also did not encounter Gogito and the others, because Majin Buu had not yet destroyed the area near the basement, and since Shin and Kibito were following the trail left by Majin Buu, they did not cross paths.

Then, they went out into the universe to search for the tracks of Babidi and Majin Buu.

But after searching the universe for over half a month, they found neither Babidi nor Majin Buu; none of Babidi's bases in the universe yielded any discoveries.

So the two turned back to Earth to search again. This time, they combed through the entire planet meticulously, and as a result, they encountered Gogito and his two companions.

"Yo, Lord Shin!!"

Seeing Shin, Future Trunks greeted him enthusiastically. He had been wondering how to find Lord Shin, and here he had appeared on his own.

Gogito also exited his meditation, and Trunks and the Gogito clone stopped their training as well.

"You know me?"

Shin was somewhat surprised. Someone here actually knew him?

"Well, it's a bit complicated to explain."

Future Trunks tried to keep his explanation as concise as possible, but it was still shocking.

God of Destruction, Angels, Grand Zeno, Zamasu, Goku Black, and even time travel—what was all this? He had never even heard of such things.

Shin remained as ignorant as ever; without the guidance of Old Kai, he knew nothing.

Shin had no time to figure out why this person knew him; the urgent priority was to determine the whereabouts of Majin Buu.

Shin gave Gogito and the others a brief description of Majin Buu and Babidi.

"Have you seen these two guys?"

"Babidi and Majin Buu?"

Gogito answered nonchalantly.

"I've already finished them off."

Gogito stood up, jumped down from the small hill where he had been meditating, and walked over to Future Trunks.

"No matter which timeline you're from, you're always the same—running around chasing Babidi and Majin Buu, leaving the responsibilities of the Kai behind."

Gogito added:

"We're going to the Sacred World of the Kai."

"Why go to the Sacred World of the Kai?"

Shin was somewhat confused.

"To let you see this world for what it really is."

Gogito looked up, his eyes terrifying. A horrific aura radiated out, only to be retracted in an instant.

"My body... I can't move."

Shin and Kibito broke out in a cold sweat; they were so intimidated by Gogito's terrifying power that their bodies were trembling in fear.

"Let's go."

Kibito obediently took everyone to the Sacred World of the Kai.

"Where is the Z Sword?"

Gogito looked toward the Kai.

"Follow me, it's over there."

Shin pointed in a certain direction.

The five of them arrived at a stone pillar, with the Z Sword thrust into its top.

Gogito grabbed the Z Sword, exerted a bit of strength, and pulled it right out, leaving Kibito, who was standing to the side, stunned.

Then, under Kibito's astonished gaze, Gogito snapped the Z Sword in half.

"Ah, uh!!"

"The Z Sword is broken!!"

Kibito practically questioned his own existence.

A figure emerged from the broken Z Sword; it was none other than Old Kai.

"Oh my, someone has finally released me."

Old Kai was overjoyed; having been sealed for so long, he was finally free.

"Old sir, who are you?"

Shin asked Old Kai.

"I am your... hmm? The Supreme Kai from fifteen generations ago."

Old Kai counted on his fingers, thought carefully, and replied.

"An, an ancestor!!"

Shin was so surprised he couldn't speak.

"A long, long time ago, there was a very bad guy who feared my power and sealed me inside the Z Sword."

As he spoke, Old Kai nodded, as if to convince himself.

"I have finally regained my freedom."

Old Kai twisted his waist, stretched his body, and said happily.

Gogito rolled his eyes and exposed him without hesitation.

"It was Lord Beerus who sealed you because he was afraid you'd die, wasn't it?"

Old Kai, who was in the middle of stretching, had his eyes pop out.

"What!!"

"How do you know??"

"It's because of you, this ignorant junior. You don't know anything about the God of Destruction, the angels, or Grand Zeno, and you were just running around chasing Majin Buu. If I hadn't used the Namek Shenron to make a wish and resurrect him, you would have been dead long ago."

Gogito shook his head and pointed at Shin.

"I released you so that you could properly teach him and stop him from acting so recklessly."

"What?"

Old Kai was so angry he jumped up and down, punching Shin on the head.

"You idiot, what kind of thing is Majin Buu that it's worth you running all over the world? Do you even know what you're supposed to be doing as a Supreme Kai?"

"Uh, this..."

Shin fidgeted, his eyes darting away, not daring to look at Old Kai.

"Huff~ huff~ huff~"

Old Kai was so angry he couldn't breathe properly. Shin and Kibito hurriedly supported him, helping him catch his breath.

Old Kai finally recovered.

"Thank you so much. I will definitely teach this junior properly."

"From today on, you will follow me and learn. I will properly fill you in on that knowledge."

Old Kai first expressed his gratitude to Gogito, then pointed at Shin's nose and shouted.

"Uh, excuse me."

At this moment, Future Trunks suddenly spoke up.

"Lord Old Kai, are you able to contact Mr. Whis and Lord Beerus?"
