Beerus and Whis

"It's like this."

Future Trunks briefly explained the situation regarding Zamasu.

"I see."

Old Kai also recognized the gravity of the problem.

"No problem, I will contact Whis right away."

Old Kai pulled something resembling a mirror from out of nowhere and called Whis.

"Whis, Whis, are you there?"

Old Kai called out to the mirror. Whis's figure appeared, and upon seeing Old Kai, he looked somewhat surprised, covering his mouth.

"Oh my, Old Kai, you've broken free from your seal!"

The two chatted for a while.

"Old Kai, I wonder what business you have with me?"

"It's like this."

Old Kai blathered on, explaining the matter of Zamasu once more.

"Oh, so if this Zamasu appears, you would like Lord Beerus to step in? No problem. What do you say, Lord Beerus?"

Beerus had been eavesdropping with his ears pricked up ever since Whis answered the call.

Beerus squeezed in and spoke to Old Kai.

"No problem. If that fellow named Zamasu appears in our universe, I will take action."

Beerus hadn't fought in a long time and his hands were itching; if Zamasu showed up, he would let Beerus teach him a lesson.

At this moment, Gogito also squeezed in and spoke to Beerus and Whis.

"Lord Beerus, Mr. Whis, please come visit Earth when you have the time."

"And who might you be, you brat?"

Seeing Gogito, Beerus asked impatiently.

"Lord Beerus, I am Gogito. There is a lot of delicious food on Earth!"

Gogito used gourmet food to tempt Beerus; he didn't believe Beerus wouldn't come.

Gogito's goal was simple: he wanted Whis to provide him with some guidance.

"Is that so? If you're lying to me, I will definitely destroy you."

Beerus was somewhat skeptical and issued a threat.

"Of course, Lord Beerus. If it isn't delicious, you can destroy me along with the Earth."

Gogito patted his chest, looking confident.

He was kidding himself if he thought otherwise; the food on Earth would surely captivate Beerus completely. He hadn't even eaten instant noodles before, so what kind of delicacies could he have possibly tasted?

"You brat, are you asking me for a favor?"

Beerus narrowed his eyes, looking as if he had seen right through him.

"Haha! You've seen right through me, Lord Beerus."

Gogito rubbed the back of his head.

"I would like to ask Mr. Whis to guide my training."

Gogito didn't hide anything and stated his purpose openly.

"If the food on Earth isn't delicious, I won't let Whis guide you."

Beerus had lived for so long; what kind of delicacies hadn't he eaten? He didn't believe there could be anything truly tasty on Earth.

If Gogito wanted Whis's guidance, he had to satisfy Beerus's stomach first.

"Then I shall wait on Earth for Lord Beerus's arrival."

Done. Gogito was ecstatic inside; with Whis's guidance, he would surely be able to reach the next level.

"In that case, Old Kai, we shall take our leave. Please, continue educating your successor."

Gogito gave Shin a look that said, "Good luck, you're on your own."

He then pulled Future Trunks and Trunks away. There was nothing left for them to do here, so they might as well go back and prepare more food.

As for Beerus and Whis, they set off for Earth. They needed to learn more detailed information about Zamasu from Future Trunks.

In space, Beerus rested his hand on Whis's shoulder, sitting cross-legged in mid-air with his other hand propping up his head.

"Whis, do you think what that guy named Gogito said is credible? Does that place called Earth really have delicious food?"

"I remember going there once before. That fellow called a dinosaur was too rude, so I wiped him out."

Whis picked up his staff to check the information on Earth.

"Oh ho, Lord Beerus, this planet called Earth has already developed a very prosperous human civilization!"

"By the way, Frieza was defeated on Earth by a Saiyan named Son Goku."

"Nani!"

Beerus widened his eyes, unable to believe it! Although he didn't think much of Frieza, he assumed that in the grand scheme of the universe, no one should have been able to defeat him.

"Son Goku transformed into something called a Super Saiyan and defeated Frieza."

Whis's staff projected Son Goku's face, showing the exact situation that had unfolded on Namek.

"So, is that guy named Son Goku the strongest in the universe now?"

"No, Son Goku is already dead. He died of a heart disease. Androids appeared on Earth that are even more powerful than Frieza; they have nearly wiped out all of humanity on Earth!"

The images in the staff shifted to show Android 17 and 18, then transitioned to Cell and Majin Buu.

Standing behind Whis, Beerus watched the scenes in the staff and sighed, "This Earth is truly plagued by disasters!"

"That is all your fault, Lord Beerus. If you didn't sleep for so long every time and actually fulfilled your duties as a God of Destruction, our universe wouldn't have so many civilizations destroyed by evil beings, nor would we be ranked at the bottom year after year."

Whis's words infuriated Beerus, and he roared at Whis.

"Shut up, Whis!"

"My apologies, Lord Beerus. I didn't mean to say you were lazy, haha."

Whis offered a perfunctory apology, though his words served only to provoke Beerus further.

"Hmph!"

Beerus turned his head away, unwilling to speak. After all these years, he was used to that sharp tongue, but it still managed to make him angry.

Whis knew well that Beerus would sulk for a bit and eventually get over it.

Before long, Whis and Beerus arrived on Earth.

As for Gogito, he had just returned to Earth and had only begun preparing food with Bulma when Beerus and Whis arrived.

In the open space at Bulma's house, a large group of people sat around a dining table laden with food.

"Mmm!!"

"This is delicious! That is delicious too!"

Whis and Beerus acted like beggars who had just entered a city, having never seen such things before.

Gogito ate rapidly as well, saying, "Lord Beerus, I was right, wasn't I?"

Beerus didn't respond, his hands moving even faster.

Gogito immediately noticed, "How cunning, Lord Beerus!"

With that, Gogito also increased his pace.

The dining table turned into a battlefield between the two, while Whis quickly grabbed the delicacies he had saved for last to prevent them from being caught in the crossfire.

In the end, both Beerus and Gogito were stuffed and lay on the ground.

"Not bad, kid. You almost beat me," Beerus said to Gogito.

"I am honored, Lord Beerus!" Gogito replied with difficulty; he couldn't eat another bite and felt like vomiting at the mere sight of food.

Beside Beerus and Gogito, Future Trunks and Whis sat under a parasol, with Future Trunks explaining the details regarding Zamasu.

"I see."

"A mortal who knows of power greater than the gods has developed thoughts he shouldn't have," Whis pointed out precisely, identifying the reason for the appearance of Goku Black.

At this, Beerus said, "Shall we head to Universe 10 right now and destroy that guy named Zamasu?"

"Lord Beerus, he is from Universe 10. Even if he were to be destroyed, that is a matter for Universe 10," Whis countered.

"That's true," Beerus said, thinking of Rumsshi, the God of Destruction of Universe 10. If he found out that Beerus had gone over to destroy his Apprentice Supreme Kai, he would surely cause trouble for him.
