Karochi's Wish!

The seven Dragon Balls linked together in a radiant glow, and a golden beam shot into the sky. Dark clouds rolled over all of Planet Namek!

Planet Namek, where night was never supposed to fall, finally welcomed its own night. Lightning flashed across the sky!

It looked like the end of the world. Tights had never seen anything like this before, since she hadn't watched the show, so it was only natural that she felt a little afraid. She lightly pinched the hem of Karochi's clothes and tried to hide behind him as much as she could.

Karochi didn't understand why the appearance of a dragon had to be so eerie, either! Shouldn't it have been an auspicious sign?

A moment later, Planet Namek's dragon, Porunga, appeared before the three of them. Honestly, the dragon on Planet Namek was freaking ugly!

He had a huge head, a broad body, and long arms. Karochi couldn't see him as a dragon at all. Could a dragon really look like that without dying of ugliness?

"M-monster! It's a monster! Little Chi?" Tights wrapped both arms around Karochi. Porunga's imposing presence was simply too much.

"Uh... Sister Tights, this is Planet Namek's dragon, Porunga! He's not a monster." Karochi covered his face. Did she really have to shout that out? Look, Porunga was staring at her now.

"O you who have gathered the seven Dragon Balls, speak your wish. Any wish can be granted, but you have only three!" Porunga's voice boomed so loudly that Tights had to let go of Karochi and cover her ears.

Karochi pursed his lips. This dragon sure knew how to brag! Any wish, huh? Then turn me into a God of Destruction! What a joke.

"All right, you may make your wish. But if I don't consider it reasonable, I won't relay it to the dragon," Nail said flatly.

Karochi shrugged. "My first wish: teach a Saiyan named Karochi the [Instant Transmission] technique of Kidd, the Supreme Kai's attendant in Universe 7!"

Of all the Instant Transmission techniques, Kidd's was the most practical.

You only had to know a planet's coordinates to travel there directly. It used little energy and was instant. That was just perfect!

The [Instant Transmission] Goku learned on Yardrat required him to sense someone's ki. What a hassle.

Nail didn't see anything wrong with the wish, so he relayed it to the dragon.

"This wish is very simple!" Porunga closed his eyes and glowed red, accompanied by a strange sound!

At that moment, Karochi seemed to understand the structure of space and time. It felt as if he could return to Earth or any planet he had ever visited just by thinking about it!

The dragon really is amazing! He can grant wishes from nothing. Karochi had experienced it firsthand and couldn't help but marvel.

"Your wish has been granted. What is your second wish?" Porunga asked, sounding eager to know.

Nail looked at Karochi.

"My second wish: give the Saiyan Karochi the coordinates of planets in all twelve universes, so that the coordinates of whichever planet he wants to visit will appear automatically when he uses [Instant Transmission]." Karochi couldn't possibly memorize the coordinates one by one. That would be far too much trouble.

As soon as he finished speaking, Tights asked curiously, "What do you mean by twelve universes? Are there other universes outside ours? And I wanted to ask you this after your first wish: are we in Universe 7?"

Uh! He'd forgotten there was a curious little one with them. Karochi reassured her, "We'll talk about the universes later, Sister Tights. Let's finish making the wishes first."

Why couldn't she be more like Nail? He was just a translation machine and never asked too many questions.

"This wish is simple, but I'm only the dragon of Universe 7, so I can't provide coordinates for all twelve universes! I can only provide the coordinates of planets in Universes 6 and 7," Porunga said. As the dragon of a single planet, his power had its limits.

Universes 6 and 7 were twin universes, so providing the coordinates for both was no problem.

Heh, caught you, didn't I? You just said you could grant any wish! Karochi didn't say it aloud, though. He just nodded in agreement.

"This wish is simple!" As the words left Porunga's mouth, countless stars seemed to appear in Karochi's mind. It was like he was looking down on the entire universe from God's perspective.

The image was hazy, but he could tell that he could travel to any planet he wanted.

"All right, tell me your third wish!" Porunga continued, as if following a preset program.

Karochi thought it over. Honestly, there wasn't anything else he particularly wanted, so he turned to Tights. "Sister Tights, is there anything you'd like to wish for?"

Karochi felt that taking two of the three wishes was already plenty. It would be nice to give the last one to Tights.

Tights shook her head without hesitation. She didn't lack anything. She wanted to become a bestselling sci-fi author, but that was a goal she needed to work toward herself! There was no point in wishing for it. Besides, even without a wish, she could become famous through Capsule Corp! What mattered to her was the process, not whether she succeeded.

"Quickly, tell me your wish. Or do you no longer have one?" Porunga urged them. He couldn't exist for long! His existence was against the rules, and the laws of the Macrocosm would reject him.

"In that case, my third wish is for the Saiyan Karochi to learn the Divine Language." Karochi thought it over. That seemed like the only other wish that might be useful.

Nail relayed Karochi's wish without another word.

"This wish is far too easy!!!" Porunga's eyes glowed red for the third time. Then he spoke again. "All your wishes have been granted! Farewell."

Porunga's entire body transformed into golden light and shot into the sky, followed closely by the seven Dragon Balls, which rose into the air and spun rapidly.

Just as they were about to scatter across the planet, Karochi used his superpower, [Telekinesis], to stop them. He couldn't let these things fly off! Without a Dragon Radar, it would probably take the Namekians half a century to find them.

"What are you doing?" Nail frowned and demanded. He thought Karochi wasn't satisfied and wanted to make another wish!

Karochi stared at Nail speechlessly. It wasn't as if he owed him money. Was that fierce tone and attitude really appropriate toward a six-year-old child?

Did he know how much damage he'd done to Karochi's young heart?

He pushed the Dragon Balls, now turned to stone, in front of Nail and explained, "I was worried these Dragon Balls would scatter and be difficult for you to find, so I stopped them. The one facing you is the Grand Elder's one-star Dragon Ball! Please thank the Grand Elder for me."

He'd already accomplished what he came for, so there was no need to bother the Grand Elder any further! The old man really needed his rest.

Nail was briefly stunned, but he took the Dragon Ball. He planned to bring all of them back at once, but Planet Namek's Dragon Balls were too large to carry all at once.

Karochi offered to return the remaining Dragon Balls to the village elders himself, so Nail could take the one-star Dragon Ball back. Nail was very uneasy about it, but he couldn't leave the Grand Elder's side for too long, so he had no choice but to agree and leave.

Now that Karochi's strength had increased tremendously, he could deliver the Dragon Balls much faster than before. It didn't take long for him to finish returning all the stone orbs!

"Where are we going next?" Tights asked curiously. Karochi had reached his destination and accomplished what he'd set out to do.

Knowing Karochi, she figured he'd return to Earth and continue training.

"We're going to Yardrat. That planet has some amazing techniques! I'm planning to learn a few." He looked at Tights with a troubled expression. Training in those techniques would surely take a long time, and Tights wasn't really suited to it. So he asked, "Sister Tights, I'll probably be training for a long time. Do you want to come with me or go back to Earth first?"

He couldn't trust Tights to wander around the universe alone! The universe was full of danger and the unknown. Even Karochi, who had seen the original story, couldn't claim to know everything.

For instance, he'd never heard of the phenomenon known as the [Yitai Wonder] in his previous life, and Tights was too weak to handle much on her own!

"Hmm..." Tights groaned. After a year of traveling, she'd gained a basic understanding of the universe. Without Karochi looking out for her, she'd be as good as dead on her own.

After thinking for a moment, she said, "How about this? I'll come with you to that planet, Yardrat! If I get bored, I'll go back to Earth first. I've gathered plenty of material on this trip!"

She also wanted to visit Elf Star and see Rielbea! But she didn't want Karochi to go along. Rielbea belonged to her alone! Her stinky little brother had been drooling when he saw her back then.

Karochi had no idea what she was thinking. If he had, he'd have protested that they'd both been drooling. How had she noticed only him?

"All right!" Now that he had [Instant Transmission], getting anywhere was easy. He could even visit Rielbea countless times in a single night.

When he saw Tights about to take out a spaceship capsule, Karochi quickly stopped her. What a joke! If he could get there in a second, why waste time on a spaceship? While Tights looked at him in confusion, Karochi told her about his [Instant Transmission] ability.

Then Karochi took Tights by the hand. He pictured Yardrat's coordinates in his mind and took her with him as he vanished from the spot.

As soon as Nail returned to the Grand Elder's room, he heard the Grand Elder's voice. "Those two children have left?"

"Yes, Grand Elder. But there's something I don't understand. Why did you let an outsider use the Dragon Balls?" Nail asked. He didn't understand, since only Namekians with pure hearts could use the Dragon Balls.

"That young Saiyan had immense potential hidden within him. Even I have never seen anything like it in my life." The Grand Elder didn't answer Nail directly, instead praising Karochi. It was hard to understand how such a wild yet peaceful aura could exist within the same person.

Nail didn't respond. He really disliked Karochi!

"When that Saiyan arrived, I saw a glimpse of Planet Namek's fate. He will help us."

After saying that, the Grand Elder fell silent, and the room gradually grew quiet.
