Actually, Karochi could easily handle Goku; he just needed to cut off his tail.
But a wicked grin spread across Karochi's face. Kakarot had been sent to Earth by Bardock before he even left his nutrient pod.
He hadn't received any Saiyan training—how would that do? How could he become a powerhouse like that? One had to know that his own current achievements were all thanks to the three years of training on Planet Vegito.
That was a past he couldn't bear to look back on!
So, Karochi decided to "help" Kakarot experience the childhood a Saiyan deserved, even if just for once.
To use a saying from his past life: "I've been caught in the rain, so why should you get to hold an umbrella? I'm going to tear yours apart!"
Using his superpower—Telekinesis—he froze the still-shocked Son Gohan in mid-air. Son Gohan was getting on in years; it wouldn't do for him to get bumped or bruised.
"Excuse me, what are you doing?" Son Gohan asked cautiously. This young man was ridiculously strong!
"Oh? Don't worry, old man. Our race has this trait where we turn into giant apes when we see a full moon! Usually, we just give them a good beating and they're fine." This was half-truth and half-fabrication; the first part was a cold, hard fact, while the latter was pure nonsense.
Son Gohan felt a wave of doubt. Could a good beating really fix this?
ROAR!
Just as Karochi and Son Gohan were talking, Goku, transformed into an ape, let out a series of roars. Even though his energy blasts had been blocked, he was devoid of reason and didn't care at all.
A massive hand swiped toward Karochi. Son Gohan, who had been about to call out a warning, suddenly found his words stuck in his throat at the sight below!
That giant hand couldn't advance a single inch, even when it was still dozens of meters away from Karochi, as if it were fixed in place or blocked by an invisible wall.
"Heh, not much power, but quite the temper!" As Karochi finished speaking, he vanished from where he stood.
Having lost his target, the giant ape didn't stop, but instead charged toward Son Gohan—only to find himself unable to move, as if something were dragging him back!
Karochi had already appeared behind him, pressing a single finger against his shoulder.
ROAR!
Seemingly enraged, Goku swung his fist toward his own shoulder! Karochi blocked it with just one finger as well.
Then, to Son Gohan's shock, Goku was lifted completely off the ground and tossed a hundred meters away.
Actually, Karochi was quite troubled; he had to control his strength so he didn't use too much! If he accidentally poked Goku to death, that would be a real disaster.
It was a good thing the training methods of Yardrat were so useful; they were incredibly effective for controlling one's power.
Before Goku could even get up, Karochi appeared above his head and swung a light punch, knocking him back to the ground!
Goku let out a miserable howl, his hands clutching his head in pain as he rolled around on the ground.
"Get up! You want to become a powerful warrior acting like this?" Having had his fill of fun, Karochi started roleplaying; Goku was the recruit in the training camp, and he was the drill sergeant.
ROAR!
Goku opened his mouth and spat out several energy blasts, but they couldn't even get close to Karochi!
"Getting bold, are we? Daring to fight back?" Karochi manifested an energy whip. He had never actually tried to see what it felt like to whip someone!
CRACK! CRACK! CRACK!
The whip landed on Goku, making him curl up and shield his head to minimize the area being hit!
Tsk, I never realized whipping someone felt like this! No wonder my old man in my past life always liked to pull out his belt to beat me. Karochi clicked his tongue in wonder; the feeling was quite magical! And also, um... interesting!
If Son Gohan hadn't been watching from the sky nearby, Karochi would have wanted to go back and grab a belt to try it out!
"Don't... don't hit him anymore! If you keep hitting him, Goku won't survive." Son Gohan felt the pain in his heart as he watched; seeing Goku shivering from the lashes, he couldn't bear it.
Hm? No way! He might have actually used too much force in his excitement just now. Karochi hurried over to check.
Just then, Goku stood up and swung his right fist at Karochi. Karochi didn't dodge or parry!
Instead, he extended his right arm, forming a flicking motion, and snapped his finger the moment Goku's fist arrived.
The immense force caused Goku to feel unbearable pain. He clutched his arm with his left hand, sat up with a jolt, and let out a series of hisses.
"Not bad, kid! You're even acting without being taught!" Having had his train of thought interrupted by Son Gohan earlier, he had genuinely been afraid he might have killed Goku! After all, the gap between them was far from ordinary.
Now that that was over, he didn't have to worry about holding back anymore!
Throughout that night, the roars on Mount Paozu never ceased. Though the sounds were terrifying, they were enough to make any listener weep with sorrow.
The dawn light crept over the horizon, and the full moon gradually faded from the sky.
Goku had long since passed out, and his massive ape form began to shrink, returning to the appearance of a small child in no time.
He was covered in black and blue bruises, not a single spot left untouched, but none of the injuries were truly severe.
"Goku!" After descending from the sky, Son Gohan quickly reached Goku's side and scooped him up, his heart aching as he looked at the battered boy.
THUD!
A sound drew Son Gohan's attention. A strange machine had appeared in front of his door!
"Don't worry, old man, he's fine—just some surface wounds! This is a machine for healing. Put him inside, and he'll be good as new in half a day!" Whew, no wonder those coaches back then were so ruthless when they beat us. Tsk, I have to say, it really does feel pretty good.
The boy who slew the dragon eventually became the dragon himself; he had lived to become the very thing he hated most!
Son Gohan thanked him repeatedly, not daring to delay as he placed Goku inside. After putting on the mask, the chamber filled with green liquid, and Goku, who had been frowning in pain, immediately looked incredibly comfortable.
"Thank you so much—!" Son Gohan turned to offer his thanks, only to find that Karochi had already vanished. He searched all around, but there was no sign of him.
At the Lookout.
Kami watched the situation unfolding below, unable to help but wipe the sweat from his brow; he had sensed something amiss the moment Goku began to change.
He had truly forgotten about it—after all, he was quite busy, wasn't he?
"Lord Kami!! What is going on with you?" A voice suddenly rang out from behind him.
Kami jumped in fright, nearly dropping the Staff of Kami from his hand! He turned around to see Karochi looking at him with a speechless expression.
"Ah, ha-ha! Karochi, you've returned to Earth? Oh, your power has increased significantly!" In truth, Kami could not gauge Karochi's current depth at all; the gap was simply too vast.
Yet, perhaps it wasn't just an illusion, but he felt he could perceive an elevation in Karochi's very level of existence! But then again, it seemed absent, and Kami couldn't help but shake his head.
Raising one's level of existence was an incredibly difficult feat; it had taken him over a decade of accumulation, combined with inheriting the position of Earth's Kami, to reach his current state.
Karochi looked at the chuckling Kami, feeling even more speechless. He thought to himself, there wasn't really any work to be done at the Lookout! Did he really need to clean the floors every single day?
He didn't dwell on it, though; this might just be the corrective force of the plot! After all, in the original story, Son Gohan had died at the hands of Goku's Great Ape form.
All of this was the filth of the Will of the Universe!
"Anyway, I've dealt with my fellow countryman, and I've even informed his guardian about the cause of the Great Ape transformation! There shouldn't be any more accidents." Karochi had originally intended to simply cut off Goku's tail, but since it would just grow back, there wasn't much point.
Besides, Karochi still remembered the plot in the Dragon Ball original where Goku transformed into a Great Ape.
"I see, I see! By the way, I've read some of Miss Taiss's works; is the description of the universe in them true?" Kami changed the subject. In fact, he had wanted to ask Karochi for clarification a year ago.
The descriptions of aliens in those books were truly world-shattering, especially that so-called Ginyu Force! Although they were dispatched quite casually by the protagonist in the book, the Ginyu captain's power level of 110,000 had shocked him.
After all, he knew his own combat power was only three or four hundred! There was simply no comparison.
Kami's question stunned Karochi. What was going on? Even Kami read Taiss's books?
You've really made it big, Sister Taiss! Even Kami has become your fan!
Karochi didn't hide anything: "It's even more brutal than that. Because Sister Taiss hasn't seen the truly top-tier individuals, she thinks that Ginyu captain is very strong! In reality, he's just a hired thug."
To be honest, a combat power of over a hundred thousand was enough to live quite comfortably in the universe, provided one didn't run into those freaks.
Inevitably, monsters like the Frost Demons, the Galactic Warriors, or Beerus were all beyond the standard scale!
Kami remained silent for a long time. He suddenly felt that Earth wasn't as safe as he had thought! It wasn't that he feared death, but as the Kami of Earth, he needed to plan for the planet's future.
"But Lord Kami, you don't need to worry too much. Although Earth is habitable, it doesn't have any resources worth exploiting! Under normal circumstances, it won't be targeted by cosmic powers." Well, cosmic powers don't come often, but every one of them is a freak.
Kami couldn't help but offer a bitter smile. It was ironic that having no value had become the protective layer for Earth.
"Karochi! Tell me the truth, just how strong are you now? You don't need to release your power; just give me a number." He was afraid that if Karochi released his full power, his Lookout wouldn't be able to withstand it.
Karochi curled his lip, having wanted to show off a little: "There's nothing I can't say. If I express it in terms of combat power, I'm at 2.1 million right now."
That was enough to handle Frieza's first two forms without a problem!
Kami's mouth twitched, and he immediately put on a kind and amiable expression: "Little Chi!!..."
Before Kami could continue, Karochi spoke bluntly: "Don't worry, Lord Kami, Earth will be fine! Even if there is trouble, it will be resolved. If it really comes down to it, I will step in."
Well, don't call me when Beerus shows up; we aren't that close! Karochi added to himself.
Defeating Beerus was impossible unless he possessed the strength of an Angel.
Upon hearing this, Kami immediately revealed a satisfied smile! Karochi's guarantee was enough.
Suddenly, Karochi remembered that he had been in the middle of a meal before he went to solve the problem of Goku's Great Ape transformation. Oh, this!
Flustered, Karochi hurriedly bid Kami farewell: "Well, if there's nothing else, Lord Kami, I'll be heading back! See you later."
Without giving him a chance to ask him to stay, he vanished on the spot using Instant Transmission.
Mr. Popo walked out from inside the temple: "Lord Kami!!"
"Earth's ability to respond to risks is far too low!!" Kami did not respond to Mr. Popo, instead looking up toward the cosmos. Earth didn't have a single true powerhouse.
And Karochi wasn't even from Earth!
