"Wumian, well done. But even though you have become much stronger now, never forget the principles of my Master Roshi school," Master Roshi praised, then spoke with a serious expression.
"I understand, Master Mutaito," Sun Wumian nodded solemnly.
"Fine, I will train seriously from now on. To have such a large gap, I am truly unwilling to accept it," Tien Shinhan said, his fists clenched tight, before leaving with Chiaotzu.
As a martial artist, Tien Shinhan certainly possessed a strong martial spirit, but it was a pity that the Three-Eyed People simply could not compare to the cheating Saiyans. Sun Wumian already knew the final outcome.
"I am going to train on my own as well. One day, I will definitely become stronger than Brother Wumian. Flying Nimbus!" Goku had also made up his mind.
"Goku, wait a moment. I'll take you to a great place for training," Sun Wumian called out to stop him.
"Huh? Where to?"
"To the Lookout. But before that, Bulma, there is something I would like to ask of you," Sun Wumian turned to look at Bulma.
"What is it? What could you possibly need? Your training doesn't seem to have anything to do with me."
"It's this." Sun Wumian produced a spherical spaceship as if by magic. It was the very one Goku had arrived in as a child, which he had specifically retrieved when returning to Mount Paozu and stored within his System Space.
"Eh? This round piece of scrap metal... is this a spaceship?" Bulma, true to her reputation as a genius girl scientist, saw through it at a glance.
"Correct. This is the spaceship Goku arrived on Earth in as a child. I want you to help me modify it and install an artificial gravity device."
"I arrived in this? No way." Goku was shocked to hear this.
"Yes, Goku. In truth, you are not a native Earthling. Your true identity is a Saiyan, and this is the spaceship that brought you here."
"A Saiyan? Whatever, it doesn't matter what I am," Goku said nonchalantly. That was just like him; such was his nature.
"This spaceship is a truly impressive scientific achievement," Bulma said after opening the hatch, stepping inside for a quick look, and sighing in admiration.
She then walked back out. "I'll help you modify this ship with my father. He should be very interested in learning about Saiyan science, though it will take some time."
"That's fine. I'll leave it to you, Bulma. Goku and I have things to do, so we're heading out," Sun Wumian said, flying toward Korin Tower, with Goku following behind on his Flying Nimbus.
Arriving at Korin Tower, the first person Sun Wumian saw was not Cat Hermit, but Yajirobe, that meat-shield Yasuo.
Damn, this guy is here to pillage the Senzu Bean supply. That's strange; Goku hasn't even met him yet, so how is he here? Sun Wumian wondered suspiciously.
"Cat Hermit, long time no see." Sun Wumian ignored Yajirobe and greeted Cat Hermit, then walked straight toward the jar that held the Senzu Bean. Damn it, they're all gone.
I should have come sooner to take them.
"Hmm, so you've arrived."
"You knew we were coming?" At this moment, Sun Goku arrived and couldn't help but speak up.
"Hmph, of course! I know everything." Cat Hermit held his wooden staff, eyes narrowed, looking as if he had everything under control.
"Is that so? Then do you know why we came here this time?" Sun Wumian countered.
"Hmm..." Cat Hermit narrowed his eyes and fell silent for a moment, using his mind-reading ability on Goku. "You want to go to the Lookout to train."
"That's amazing! You even knew that," Goku exclaimed in surprise.
"By the way, why is this little fatty here?" Sun Wumian asked, pointing at Yajirobe.
"Who are you calling a little fatty? My name is Yajirobe! It's really rude to call people that."
"Heh heh, Yajirobe heard that I had good food here and climbed up. I found him quite interesting, so I let him stay," Cat Hermit said.
"Right, Brother Wumian, didn't you say we were going to the Lookout to train? Why are we here?" Sun Goku suddenly remembered the purpose of their trip.
"The Lookout is directly above Korin Tower. Only those I approve of can go up to meet Kami. One must be powerful and possess a pure heart."
"Kami? What Kami? You've got to be joking," Yajirobe chimed in from the side, unable to resist mocking them.
"You see, someone like Yajirobe wouldn't qualify, but Goku, you fit the criteria perfectly. As for Wumian, you could treat the Lookout as your own home if you wanted," Cat Hermit glanced at Yajirobe and continued.
"Up there? Can I just fly up on the Flying Nimbus?" Goku asked.
"That certainly won't work. The Flying Nimbus can only fly as high as this point, and you can't enter by plane or anything else either."
"Then how do I get up?"
"It's simple. The Power Pole on your back is the rod that connects to the Lookout. Master Mutaito pestered me for it back in the day, which is why I lent it to him."
"The Power Pole? I thought this was just a weapon. Master Roshi must have given it to my grandfather later on," Sun Goku said, taking the Power Pole off his back.
"In that case, I'll head up first and wait for you at the Lookout," Sun Wumian said, flying upward, and soon arrived at the Lookout once more.
"Mr. Popo, long time no see. And Kami, you as well."
"Heh heh, there is no need to be so formal with me. You are the one who defeated King Piccolo in a single blow," Kami smiled and shook his head.
"Very well. I have come to borrow the Hyperbolic Time Chamber for training. That shouldn't be a problem, right?" Sun Wumian said, getting straight to the point.
There was no other way. His "cheat" had expired, and he was out of Senzu Bean. If he wanted to transform into a Super Saiyan as quickly as possible, he had to rely on the Hyperbolic Time Chamber.
"That is no problem. Mr. Popo, take him there."
"That won't be necessary; I can go myself. Oh, and Goku will be arriving shortly. Mr. Popo, please help me train him, and after eight hours, let him enter the Hyperbolic Time Chamber to train with me."
Inside the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, everything was white. Aside from a single building, there was nothing but a vast, empty expanse.
One day on Earth was equal to one year here. Furthermore, the air was one-fourth as dense as the surface, while the gravity was four times stronger.
"Then, let the training begin. This place is just right; I hope that once the training is complete, I can transform into a Super Saiyan," Sun Wumian muttered to himself.
In the blink of an eye, four months passed within the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, and Goku arrived as well.
"What's going on? This is such a strange place, and my body feels so heavy. Can I really get stronger by training here?" Goku nearly lost his footing the moment he stepped inside.
It was only natural; with his current combat power, four times gravity was a bit of a challenge.
