Vegeta Makes His Entrance

"Raditz, you're useless! You ran away without even fighting. You've disgraced the pride of the warrior race, the Saiyans!" Vegeta berated him through the Scouter.

On a distant planet somewhere in the universe, Vegeta and Nappa were invading a world.

"Vegeta, you can't say that. More than one of them had a higher power level than me."

"Hmph. Their power levels were only a little over two thousand. Why didn't you turn into a Great Ape?"

"Come to think of it, it's strange. That planet didn't even have a moon." Raditz continued speaking through the Scouter's communication function.

"Hmph, you useless fool. I sent you to a tiny planet to bring back one measly Low-Class Warrior, and you couldn't even do that. What use are you?"

"What should we do? The two of us might have a bit of trouble taking care of this planet in a short time," Nappa asked Vegeta.

"That power level close to three thousand Nappa mentioned has to be Kakarot. I never thought a Low-Class Warrior would grow so strong in that place. Interesting. If we had another Saiyan capable of the Great Ape Transformation, things would be a lot easier," Vegeta said as he chewed on some meat.

"It'll take just three months to reach that planet. How about we go there ourselves? We can deal with this place when we get back."

"Fine! Let's go." Vegeta stood up.

"Good. Let's see what's going on with Kakarot, and wipe out all the Earthlings while we're at it."

Whoosh! Whoosh!

The two Spherical Spaceships set off in the direction of Earth.

Kame House.

"What? The landing site was near East City?" After finishing his training on King Kai's Planet with Goku and returning to Earth, Sun Wumian was puzzled. The timing was off. Why had the Saiyans arrived so early?

"Huh, Wumian, how did you know? It really was about five thousand miles west of East City. There were signs that a Spherical Spaceship had landed, and an ordinary person was killed with a single blow," Krillin said.

"Then it really was them. So, where are those Saiyans now?"

"They seem to have left. We didn't see them when we arrived," Yamcha replied.

"I see." Sun Wumian understood. Raditz must have detected Krillin and the others' power levels with his Scouter, then gone back to find Vegeta.

That made sense. Their power levels had all risen dramatically. Chiaotzu was at 800, Yamcha at 1,200, Krillin at 1,800, and Tien Shinhan at 2,500.

And since Master Roshi had destroyed Earth's moon, Raditz could only retreat for the time being. (Kami had originally intended to restore the moon, but Sun Wumian had stopped him.)

"I've seen the Saiyan you're talking about," a voice that didn't belong to anyone there suddenly said.

"Piccolo?" Everyone turned to see Piccolo emerge from behind the house.

"What are you doing here? Looking for a fight? You're no match for me now." Krillin cracked his knuckles and grinned.

"Damn it! How can I, the great Demon King, be weaker than a little runt like you? What the hell is going on?" Piccolo was so angry his face turned green.

"You really saw that Saiyan? Was he strong?" Goku asked.GgDown8

"That guy looked a bit like you, Goku. Maybe he wasn't as strong as you, but when I followed him, I heard him say he was going to bring two other incredibly powerful Saiyans here. They'll arrive in three months."

Sun Wumian was a little confused. This wasn't how the story went. Three months? Wasn't it supposed to be a year? Still, it was a good thing if Vegeta came early.

"So I think that even you might not be strong enough to beat the Saiyans. Why not let me get stronger, and then I'll work with you?" Piccolo turned to Sun Wumian as he spoke.

"Piccolo, you changed your tune pretty quickly. When I went to ask you to train with the others, didn't you refuse right away?" Sun Wumian rubbed his nose, noncommittal.

"Hmph! The very idea disgusts me. If we weren't facing an unknown, powerful enemy..."

Sun Wumian smiled. It was all excuses. Piccolo had only changed his mind because Krillin and the others had surpassed him, and he couldn't stand it.

Three months later, in the Dragon Ball timeline, two Spherical Spaceships suddenly landed in East City, Earth.

"What happened? That was terrifying!"

"Looks like something round fell out of the sky."

"Someone's there! There's someone over there, too!"

Crash, crash...

"Hmph! So this is Earth? Not much to look at." Vegeta glanced at the clamoring crowd.

"Let's start by saying hello to those noisy people. Vegeta, this is your fault. Why did you kill Raditz? He was supposed to take care of this kind of thing." Nappa held out a finger and gathered energy, preparing to blow the place away.

Just then, a figure suddenly appeared in front of Nappa and grabbed his hand.

Crack! Without warning, Nappa's finger snapped.

"Hey, who says that's how you greet someone? This is how you say hello!" Sun Wumian appeared, smiling.

"Ahhh! You... you... you..." Nappa let out a pig-like squeal.

"Hm? Who are you, and how did you appear out of nowhere?" Vegeta noticed something was wrong.

"Want to know? Follow me." Sun Wumian rose into the air and flew southwest.

"Ve... Vegeta, my finger's broken... I need treatment first."

"Useless fool. It's just a broken finger. What's the big deal? Hurry up and follow him. I could sense that the guy just now seemed to be a Saiyan, too."

"What? He isn't Kakarot? Are there other Saiyans?"

Sun Wumian landed in an uninhabited area, followed by Vegeta and Nappa.

"Kid, you can tell me now. Why do you have Saiyan blood?" Vegeta demanded.

"Huh? You can tell that just by looking?" Sun Wumian was puzzled.

"Hmph! I'm the prince of the Saiyans. Of course I can tell you have Saiyan blood."

So that was how it worked. Interesting.

"Wumian, these two are the so-called Saiyans? They don't seem all that strong," Goku, Krillin, Piccolo, and the others arrived just then, and Krillin spoke first.

"Right. This is Vegeta, and that's Nappa." Sun Wumian introduced them like an old friend. Anyone who didn't know better would've thought he'd arrived with the two of them.

"Hm? Why does this guy named Wumian know our names? This is suspicious. What's going on?" Vegeta's mind couldn't keep up.

"Goku, you guys can handle these two. Heh, I'm a little sleepy. I'm going to take a nap." Sun Wumian finished speaking and vanished. He really had gone off to take a nap.

He was treating Vegeta and Nappa's invasion like children playing house.

That was only natural. Goku's normal power level could now reach as high as 9,000. If he used Kaioken, beating Vegeta would be a piece of cake.

This was nothing more than a small test of their training progress.
