Bardock lay on the ground with his arms spread wide, looking like the character for "big." Every now and then, he coughed.
He'd taken hundreds of punches to both his chest and back, and the armor on his upper body was battered to pieces.
The pain made Bardock suck in a sharp breath.
"Damn it, why's this little brat so strong?!"
Bardock gave a bitter laugh. He couldn't even beat a little kid anymore. What a disgrace!
He lay on the ground as if he'd admitted defeat.

Another blue shock wave suddenly came flying down from above!
"I'll freaking kill you!!" Bardock craned his thick neck and cursed at the top of his lungs.
Though he kept swearing, Bardock didn't dare let up for a moment. He sprang to his feet in a swift kip-up and quickly dodged Kasso's attack.
If that shock wave hit him, he'd be bedridden for two weeks without a medical pod.
Bardock should've kept his eyes forward. The moment he looked back, he saw more than a dozen energy blasts hurtling toward him.
"Brat, what have I ever done to you? Do you really have to hound me like this?" Bardock cursed as he ran.
Boom! Boom!
A series of explosions rang through the forest, filling the air with smoke and sending dust flying.
Hearing the commotion from a valley in the distance, Garis chuckled. The captain was really going all out!
Going all out?
Bardock was certainly having a "blast"!
A figure darted through the forest as energy blasts rained down from above, explosions booming nonstop.
Seeing Bardock's miserable state, Kasso sneered.
"You mocked me the other day. I'm a man who holds a grudge!"
A basketball-sized energy blast appeared in his hand. Kasso grinned wickedly. "My dear Uncle Bardock, look what I've got for you!"
Hearing Kasso's voice from above, Bardock suddenly had a bad feeling.
He looked back.
A massive energy blast filled his view.
"Kasso, I'll never forgive you!" Bardock roared.
Then, all of a sudden, he cried out.
Bardock was sprawled on the ground!
"Hahaha!"
Aside from Kasso's wicked laughter, the forest fell silent.
Just then, a ball of white light came flying in from the horizon.
"Big Brother Kasso, I'm hungry!" Ausbie flew over and said in a daze.
"Come on. I'll get my Little Biel something to eat right now!"
After beating up Bardock, Kasso was in a great mood. He took Ausbie and flew off, leaving Bardock on the ground without a second thought!
"Cough, cough, cough!"
Bardock slowly got up and brushed the dust off himself.
At least the kid knew when to stop. Otherwise, he'd really be in trouble!
Watching Kasso and Ausbie fly away, Bardock grumbled, "You ungrateful little brats. After everything I've done for you!"
Time slipped by.
A month passed just like that.
Kasso had thoroughly explored Planet Sadala and finally found the land created by Shenron at the planet's northernmost point.
He looked at the land before him. Black soil covered the ground, giving off a remarkably unusual aura.
When Kasso had made his wish on Namek, his third wish hadn't come true, so he'd casually made another wish.
He wondered if Senzu Beans could grow here!
After looking at it for a while, Kasso stopped dwelling on the question. Whether or not Senzu Beans could grow here, he'd first have to go to Earth and bring back some seeds.
He returned to the valley.
A broad river flowed slowly nearby, its waters gurgling.
Towering trees surrounded the area, and the Saiyans had built their homes beneath them. Even the blazing sun couldn't scorch the place.
The mountains and water made for a beautiful setting.
The Saiyans had leveled the ground, and many of them were training hard.
Bardock was among them, doing one-handed push-ups on the flat ground as he muttered, "Twenty-two thousand nine hundred ninety-nine, twenty-three thousand..."
Ever since Kasso had beaten him up, Bardock had been incredibly frustrated. He trained day and night, pushing himself to the limit, all so he could beat Kasso one day. But more than anything, he wanted to grow stronger and take revenge on Frieza.
"Uncle Bardock, give it up. You're never getting even with me."
Kasso walked over with a smile, seeming to have guessed what Bardock was thinking.
Kids these days were so full of themselves!
Bardock curled his lip and ignored him, continuing his push-ups.

Kasso shook his head. Saiyans had incredible bodies, but without the right training methods, Bardock wouldn't catch up to him even in another few decades—let alone surpass Frieza!

Bardock shook his head. Why waste time thinking about that? He should focus on his training!
Otherwise, Kasso might beat him up again and make him look like an even bigger fool!
At the thought, Bardock shuddered and went back to training with all his might.
Kasso took Ausbie by the hand. After saying goodbye to Gine, Garis, and the others, he vanished from Planet Sadala.

The dark universe was dotted with countless stars, their light sparkling.
A beautiful blue planet floated among them.
That day,
two small figures appeared on Earth.
Kasso lay on the ground, panting heavily. He'd taken a star chart from one of the spaceships he'd used before, then used Instant Transmission to travel in Earth's direction.
He hadn't expected to overshoot the planet, so he'd had to use Instant Transmission again to head back the other way.
Damn it.
"Big Brother Kasso, are you okay?" Ausbie looked at Kasso, drenched in sweat, and worried about him.
"I'm... I'm fine!"
Kasso rested for a while and finally caught his breath.
Watching Goku use Instant Transmission in his previous life, he hadn't seemed to struggle this much!
