Kami Appears

Black Charcoal Head Popo stood beside Kami, watching the world below.

Compared to Kami's tense expression, Popo remained unruffled, his eyes as calm as an ancient well. He paid no mind to the two little monsters.

"So fast."

Kami furrowed his brow. The two children were terrifyingly fast; he could only make out two black blurs streaking across the sky.

And Kasso was still holding back. If he got serious and unleashed his full 14,000 points of battle power, Kami probably wouldn't even catch a glimpse of him.

"They're here!" Kami said gravely.

Two little figures suddenly appeared at the edge of the top of Korin Tower.

Kasso appeared without warning, startling Korin. The cat instinctively took a step back.

Korin asked nervously, "W-w-what brings you two here?"

"There's a rumor that anyone who climbs Korin Tower can receive guidance from Korin. We'd like you to teach us how to train," Kasso said with a smile.

Hearing Kasso's tone, Korin couldn't help but feel a little reassured. "I'm not very strong. I'm afraid I won't be able to teach you two."

Korin could tell at a glance what these two children were like. They had immense power, but didn't know how to use it flexibly, and their control over ki was a complete mess.

After two years of figuring things out on his own, Kasso had even learned Instant Transmission. He thought he had a decent grasp of ki and had even learned a little about concealing his own energy. Little did he know that, in Korin's eyes, his technique was as bad as dog shit.

In four words:

An absolute disaster!

All Korin wanted now was for Kasso and Ausbie to leave as soon as possible. He didn't want to get involved in the affairs of such powerful beings, even if they were just two little kids.

Kasso clearly saw Korin's misgivings and said outright, "Although we're not from Earth, for certain reasons, we would never harm it."

He paused, then continued, "Please teach us how to control our ki!"

?

So these two little ones really weren't from Earth. No wonder he'd never seen them before.

Hearing this, Korin said, "Then let me see your true strength!"

Since they'd put it that way, he had no choice but to agree. If he refused and ended up angering them, Earth would be finished.

All Korin could do now was hope that Kasso truly meant it when he said they had no ill will toward Earth!

Kasso chuckled to himself. This big fat cat really was hard to deal with.

Then he furrowed his brow and let out a sharp shout, no longer concealing the power within him.

Whether or not Kasso concealed it made little difference to Korin and Kami.

A terrifying power burst from Kasso. In an instant, it was like mountains collapsing and the earth splitting apart. The entire Korin Tower began to tremble, and a violent aura swept in every direction. Even the clouds for thousands of miles around were scattered by that overwhelming force.

"..."

Korin broke out in a cold sweat again, his legs trembling uncontrollably. He'd known Kasso was powerful, but he hadn't expected his true strength to be so terrifying.

As the violent aura swept over him, Korin could barely breathe. He hurriedly cried, "S-stop... stop!"

Hearing this, Kasso withdrew his power.

"Brother Kasso, I want to do it too!" Ausbie called out innocently.

Rumble!

Another immense force burst from Korin Tower, scattering the clouds that had just gathered again.

"E-enough!"

The little girl's power was far weaker than the little boy's, but it still left Korin deeply shaken.

"You're so powerful. Are you really sure you won't harm Earth?" Korin asked again.

After Kasso assured him, Korin breathed a sigh of relief. He could only hope that was true.

Then he said, "Actually, I noticed you the moment you arrived on Earth. Your power is incredibly strong, but you don't know how to use it properly."

"Please teach us, Korin," Kasso said humbly.

A look of longing also showed in Ausbie's eyes.

Seeing their attitude, Korin finally felt a little less uneasy. "As the saying goes, it's easy to go from frugality to luxury, but hard to go from luxury to frugality. You have such tremendous power, but without the right techniques, it's impossible to fully control the strength within you."

Kasso and Ausbie sat on the ground and listened attentively.

"To be honest, I know how to teach you to control your ki, but I can't help you right now," Korin said, shaking his head.

"What?" Ausbie suddenly stood up, an unusual flash of anger on her face.

He'd said he knew how to teach them to control their ki, only to turn around and say he couldn't help them.

She felt that the big fat cat had deceived her.

Kasso often told Ausbie about Earth, and she had long yearned to learn how to cultivate ki.

If she could learn this technique, she would grow stronger. Then someday, she could catch up to Brother Kasso and protect him!

"Little Biel, don't get worked up. Let him finish."

Little Biel's reaction startled Kasso. When had this girl become so impulsive?

He quickly pulled Ausbie into his arms, apologized to Korin, and let him continue.

When Ausbie stood up, Korin's heart had nearly stopped. He'd thought he was done for. Thankfully, the little boy was there.

Korin didn't dare leave them in suspense any longer. He immediately explained everything.

"I know the method, but you're too powerful. To learn how to use ki, you must first suppress the immense power within you."

Korin swallowed and quickly continued, "I'm nowhere near strong enough to suppress your power. Only Kami at the Lookout can help you do that!"

"Then I'll be able to teach you."

At last, Korin finished explaining and let out a long breath.

Kasso fell into deep thought. He'd been transported here two years ago, and after the Grand Elder unlocked his potential, his battle power had reached 14,000. This big fat cat had less than 200 points of battle power, so he really couldn't help.

He looked up at the sky. Could only Kami do it?

Ausbie obediently stayed in Kasso's arms, careful not to interrupt his thoughts.

Just as they were lost in thought, two figures appeared outside Korin Tower, one green and one black—a stark contrast.

"Kami!" Korin said, somewhat surprised.

Hearing Korin's voice, Kasso came back to his senses and looked outside.

Kami?

So he couldn't help showing himself after all!

Kasso chuckled to himself.

"Brother Kasso, why does that person look like a watermelon? And that Black Charcoal Head is weird too!" Ausbie asked curiously.

Kasso quickly covered Little Biel's mouth.

She really would say anything out loud! If they decided not to teach them how to use ki, they'd be in trouble!

Kami's mouth twitched slightly, but Popo beside him remained perfectly calm.

The names Korin and Kasso are pretty similar, so I thought it would be better to change Korin to "Korin the Cat." That way, it'll be easier for everyone to follow.
