Trading for Senzu Beans

Two small figures stirred up rolling waves, the wind whipping Korin's whiskers against his cheeks so fiercely that he couldn't even open his eyes.

"What are these two trying to do!"

They weren't training in the Heavenly Realm, so why had they suddenly shown up here? Korin truly couldn't fathom it.

As the two white auras drew closer, Kasso and Ausbie suddenly dispersed their energy just before reaching Korin Tower.

The auras of Kasso and the girl had vanished in an instant!

Korin rubbed his eyes and looked again, carefully, seemingly forgetting that ki was invisible to the naked eye.

"Hello!" Kasso landed on Korin Tower and offered a greeting.

"Yeah, is there a problem?" Kasso asked, puzzled.

What was wrong with Korin? He hadn't harmed the Earth, so why was he making that face?

Ausbie stared at the fat cat with wide eyes, thinking it was very strange.

"Brother Kasso, is it stupid?" Ausbie whispered.

She thought she was speaking very quietly.

Kasso chuckled to himself; the little girl was still as cute as ever.

However, Kasso also realized the reason for Korin's expression. When he landed on Korin Tower, he had retracted his "ki" in one fluid motion, which was likely why Korin was so surprised.

In the entire anime, no one had ever mastered "ki" this quickly. When Kasso was still on Yardrat learning Instant Transmission, he had felt his aptitude was exceptionally high, and his speed in learning to use "ki" on Earth had been just as fast.

He wondered to himself if it was because his two souls had merged.

"Brother Kasso, what are you thinking about!" Ausbie asked, finding it strange that Kasso was standing perfectly still.

"Nothing!" Kasso smiled at Little Biel.

In truth, this girl's talent was quite strong; the time she spent learning Instant Transmission was about the same as Goku's, and under his guidance, she had also quickly learned how to use "ki."

"Do you two have business here?" Korin finally regained his composure.

He looked at Kasso and Ausbie with a strange expression, as if he were looking at two monsters.

"I heard you have a kind of bean here that can keep someone from feeling hungry for ten days after eating just one," Kasso said.

"You mean Senzu Bean?"

"Yeah!"

"Could you give me some Senzu Bean, or I could trade you something else for them."

"Trade what?"

Korin didn't yet realize the importance of Senzu Bean, but they were something he had spent hundreds of years growing, and he wasn't willing to just give them away for free. However, trading these "useless" things for something else was acceptable.

Seeing so many fish, Korin's breath hitched; he had never seen so many fish in his life.

The last time he had eaten fish was a hundred years ago; he had almost forgotten what they tasted like.

With this many fish, he should be able to eat for a long time.

Thinking of this, Korin's heart began to race: "Take all those Senzu Beans!"

Korin estimated that this single crate held no less than fifty thousand fish, and since Kasso had dozens more of these crates in his possession, he was so excited he could jump.

What a good man!

Kasso was nearly losing his mind. All three wooden jars were filled with Senzu Beans; there must be tens of thousands of them. He still had one last capsule he had "borrowed" from the Hoi-Poi Capsule store.

Just as he was about to pack them all away, Kasso paused.

Whatever he was thinking, Kasso only emptied two-thirds of the final jar.

The remaining Senzu Beans should still amount to a few thousand!
