Soon, the Gravity Chamber slowly opened.
A cute little girl stepped out. Sweat covered her face, and a little tail swished behind her.
Just then, Ausbie had finished training. She seemed to be surrounded by a rampaging Great Ape, and the savage aura she unleashed made anyone who felt it shudder in fear.
No one would have believed that just half a month ago, she'd been a little girl who loved to eat and laze around.
"Brother Kasso, where are we going?"
"Come with me and you'll find out!"
Kasso smiled. As he marveled at how effective the Gravity Chamber was, he packed it away, turning it into a Hoi-Poi Capsule that he slipped into his pocket.
Soon, two small figures soared into the sky.
They crossed the bustling city and arrived at a deserted stretch of flat land.
Ausbie watched as Kasso took several beads out of his little backpack. The beads gathered together and began to hum.
It was amazing.
"Little Biel, didn't you want to see what Shenron looks like? I'll show you now."
Kasso shouted at the seven Dragon Balls, "Come forth, Shenron!"
As soon as the words left his mouth, the sky suddenly darkened. Clouds piled up overhead, and the air grew heavy with the sense of an approaching storm.
Suddenly!
Lightning bolts rained down from the sky, as if the world were ending, and slammed into the seven Dragon Balls.
Just as Ausbie thought the beads were going to be destroyed, the seven Dragon Balls grew brighter and brighter. Their humming grew more rapid, and the resonance made her ears ache a little, though she soon got used to it.
At that very moment!
A golden beam shot into the sky, twisting and turning as it pierced the clouds.
The thick beam of light transformed into a huge dragon's head, and the dragon's body appeared before Ausbie's eyes.
"Brother Kasso, what is that?!"
Ausbie's eyes widened, and she covered her little mouth with her hands.
"That's Shenron!"
"Ah!"
Ausbie was stunned. So this was the Shenron Kasso had told her about—the one said to grant three wishes!
Ausbie had always thought that all Dragon Balls could grant three wishes. She didn't know that Earth's Dragon Balls were different.
Soon, the enormous, slender Shenron was fully revealed before them. Against the dark sky, he looked rather gloomy.
"State your wish. Whatever it is, I can make it come true!"
Shenron's hoarse, aged voice rang across the sky.
Ausbie was incredibly excited to finally see the Shenron Kasso had told her about. But he was kind of ugly!
Kasso had no idea what Ausbie was thinking. If he'd known, he would've agreed that Shenron was ugly—nothing like the Five-Clawed Divine Dragon from his original Earth.
He tossed out a Hoi-Poi Capsule, and a Gravity Chamber appeared on the empty ground.
Pointing at it, Kasso shouted, "Make two hundred identical Gravity Chambers on Planet Sadala!"
When Ausbie heard his wish, her little eyes lit up. She'd already experienced the effects of the Gravity Chamber. If their people could have the same kind of training equipment, the Saiyans would become terrifyingly powerful!
She just wasn't sure if the wish could be granted, and she felt a little nervous.
The sky fell quiet!
Suddenly, Shenron spoke. "Your wish is a simple one. It has been granted!"
Far away, on Planet Sadala.
In the north.
Not far from the land where the Senzu Beans were being grown, two hundred Gravity Chambers suddenly appeared!
The Saiyans passing by were startled and hurried back to report it to Bardock.
Shenron continued, "Until we meet again!"
With that, Shenron swiftly turned into a golden beam of light. The Dragon Balls on the ground shot up after it, then flew off in different directions.
Just then.
Kasso seized the moment and leaped into the sky. Before the Dragon Balls could fly away, he caught two of them—the one from Bulma's house and Son Gohan's.
"Brother Kasso, the wish really came true! That's amazing!"
Ausbie jumped with excitement. With so many Gravity Chambers, there was no way the Saiyans wouldn't grow stronger. But hadn't Shenron been able to grant three wishes?
Seeing Little Biel's confusion, Kasso explained that different Shenrons had different abilities.
Up at the Lookout, Kami and Korin had heard the wish Kasso made, and their tense expressions finally eased.
Though they'd learned from their interactions that the two weren't evil, they'd still been nervous when the pair summoned Shenron. If they'd made some evil wish, it would have been disastrous!
Thank goodness. Thank goodness!
Kami glanced at Korin, feeling that what he'd said made sense.
There were far too few outstanding martial artists on Earth now. The only ones worth mentioning were Master Roshi and Master Shen, and if he had to name one more, Son Gohan counted too.
With so few capable fighters to carry on the tradition, an alien invasion would be an unprecedented disaster for Earth!
They needed to interfere with the development of martial arts on Earth!
On the ground.
Kasso had no idea Kami was watching him from the Lookout. Even if he'd known, it wouldn't have mattered; he wasn't going to harm Earth anyway.
Now that he'd done what he came to Earth to do, Kasso wanted to see how much the Gravity Chamber had changed Ausbie!
"Little Biel, let's see how your training has paid off over the last half month!"
"Hehe, Brother Kasso, don't cry when I beat you up!"
"Big talk!" Kasso chuckled.
Young people these days were so cocky.
Ausbie unleashed a fierce aura, and her entire body was enveloped in a white blaze of energy.
Her little figure shot into the air.
Boom!
It was as if a supersonic jet had streaked across the sky. The speed broke the sound barrier, sending a piercing sonic boom through the air.
Ausbie was as fast as lightning, leaving a streak of light across the sky as she closed in on Kasso in the blink of an eye.
She kicked, threw a sideways punch, and unleashed a flurry of attacks that slammed into Kasso.
Her punches sent the wind whipping in every direction. The violent gusts crashed into the ground, shattering it instantly. Not a single spot within a kilometer was left untouched.
Thankfully, they were in an uninhabited area. If they'd been in the city, countless people would have been killed or injured.
"Not bad!"
Kasso calmly blocked every one of Ausbie's attacks.
The force where they collided felt like a meteor from beyond the heavens crashing into the ground with the fury of thunder.
Just as Kasso's arms and legs began to go numb, Ausbie suddenly vanished from sight.
"Using that move again?"
Kasso quickly turned around, and sure enough, Ausbie came charging at him from behind.
"Brother Kasso, how did you know I was behind you?"
Even as Ausbie spoke, she didn't stop attacking.
A massive ki blast formed in her hand. In the blink of an eye, she brought it crashing down on Kasso's head.
At that moment, the Saiyan blood in Ausbie's veins surged, though she knew her attack would be useless against Kasso.
Sure enough!
The ki blast hit Kasso squarely, yet for some reason, it didn't explode. Instead, it passed straight through his body.
