Planting Senzu Beans

Bardock nodded.

At first, he had been startled by the sight of those two hundred black structures, wondering how on earth so many of them had appeared out of nowhere.

The black structures were packed densely together, giving off an eerie vibe even in broad daylight; he had even mistaken them for coffins for the dead!

Now, however, it was clear they were treasures!

Bardock made up his mind: from now on, he would spend every day lying inside a black structure.

Pah!

He meant inside the Gravity Chamber!

The area was surrounded by lush, verdant forests, but there was a large, vacant clearing in the center. It looked rather abrupt, as if the clearing had occupied a portion of the original forest and appeared out of thin air.

In the middle of the clearing, over two hundred Gravity Chambers were lined up, pitch-black and looking... well, they certainly possessed an imposing "aura."

Not far to the side was a special plot of land about 40 square meters in size.

Bardock brought Garis here.

"Captain, do you really think Little Biel reached that level of strength by relying on these things?" Garis scratched his head.

"I suppose so!"

To be honest, Bardock was still in a state of shock. Even if Ausbie was a high-class warrior, it was impossible for her to have achieved such feats during her childhood!

By that logic, it had to be the effect of the Gravity Chambers!

He then wondered, if he used a Gravity Chamber himself, would the results be just as good?

"Then we're going to be rich!"

"Shut up. Why are you shouting so loud? You've seen nothing of the world." Bardock scolded him, feeling that he was beyond help.

"You go to the left. Follow the method Kasso taught us earlier and collect all the Gravity Chambers."

Bardock pointed to the left with an unquestionable tone, then headed to the right himself so the two of them could collect the Gravity Chambers together.

Ten minutes later, a massive pile of capsules lay on the ground. Anyone seeing it would wonder if these two had some incurable disease, given that they needed to take so many pills—and such huge ones at that!!

Soon, only a few dozen Gravity Chambers remained on the ground. Bardock and Garis stood with their backs to the capsules, approaching from opposite sides to collect the remaining ones.

They might have appeared indifferent to the capsules behind them, but if anyone actually thought that, they would be dead wrong!

These two hundred Gravity Chambers were the foundation for the rise of the Saiyan race. If anyone dared to touch them, Bardock and Garis would definitely make them regret ever being born.

"Finally finished!" Bardock and Garis breathed a sigh of relief. The next step was simply to distribute them to their clansmen.

The Saiyans held the title of a warrior race; they craved battle and they craved strength. The Gravity Chambers were practically tailor-made for them.

Therefore, there was no need to worry that the Saiyans wouldn't like these Gravity Chambers.

"Captain, remember to save one for me." Garis looked at the pile of capsules with longing eyes.

After seeing Ausbie's strength, he wanted a Gravity Chamber for himself.

"What's the rush? There are 200 Gravity Chambers; everyone will get one."

"That's true."

Garis scratched his head foolishly.

In Bardock's eyes, this guy was purely a comedian.

"Let's go!"

Bardock and Garis took the capsules and flew straight into the sky.

Following their departure, a small figure suddenly appeared in the clearing.

Kasso watched the backs of Bardock and Garis; he had heard every word of their conversation.

He chuckled. Honestly, Garis really was quite a simpleton.

He turned back.

Kasso arrived at the edge of this black land and observed it closely. The soil was not actually black; brown was its true color. It only appeared this way because so much of it was piled together, creating a visual discrepancy.

He reached out and touched the soil, feeling a hint of moisture. Kasso looked up at the sky; despite the scorching heat, the earth had not dried out at all!

Furthermore, at a glance, one could even see a misty aura rising from the land, which was quite extraordinary.

When Kasso made his wishes on Namek, the third wish had encountered a slight mishap, so he had used Shenron to create this patch of land instead.

However, the plot of land looked a bit small, measuring only about forty square meters.

Kasso remembered that Senzu Bean cultivation supposedly required irrigation with Ultra Divine Water, and he had no idea if this land created by Shenron could actually grow them.

As the saying goes, practice is the sole criterion for testing truth.

He would just have to plant a Senzu Bean and find out!

Thinking of this, Kasso got straight to work.

He planted one Senzu Bean in the soil, careful not to plant more to avoid waste.

After planting the Senzu Bean, Kasso squatted quietly to the side.

Half a day passed.

It was noon, and the scorching sun hung high in the sky.

Kasso remained motionless in the same spot. At first, he had been full of anticipation; if the Senzu Bean could truly be cultivated, then the rise of the Saiyan would be unstoppable.

But as time ticked by and the weather grew increasingly sweltering, Kasso wiped the sweat from his face, feeling as though he were being roasted alive.

Yet, there was not a single stir from the soil.

Was this Shenron a fraud?

"Damn it."

Kasso cursed under his breath, so frustrated he wanted to stomp on the ground, but remembering the Senzu Bean buried within, he couldn't afford to be so wasteful.

Just as Kasso was about to dig the Senzu Bean back up, suddenly!

He witnessed the scene he had been longing for.

For some unknown reason, the brown clods of earth suddenly loosened, fine soil sliding down the edges, and soon, a touch of green caught his eye.

Had the planting succeeded?

"Hahahaha!" Kasso laughed toward the sky.

At the time, he had only made the wish to Shenron as an experiment. Although Shenron had fulfilled the request, he had no certainty that the Senzu Bean would actually grow.

He never expected that this land could truly cultivate Senzu Bean.

Looking at that speck of green, Kasso's mind raced with thoughts. He speculated on how many Senzu Bean a single seed could yield; if it were only a one-to-one ratio, then this land would be useless.
