Hu Su's foresight is truly impressive; he knew exactly where he would land.
But now that he has traveled here and caused a butterfly effect, will Goku still have that same opportunity in the future?
Kasso lay on the bed, his mind racing with thoughts, yet many things remained unclear.
Hoo-hoo!
Beside him, Ausbie was sleeping with soft, rhythmic breaths, her rosy lips parting and closing.
Kasso smiled and tucked the blanket around her. Who could resist such an adorable girl? He had to protect her well; he couldn't let her suffer even the slightest harm!
Seeing that it was getting late, Kasso prepared to rest. He had to learn Instant Transmission tomorrow!
The next day.
"Hello, my name is Will. I am in charge of your training in Instant Transmission. Please take care of me from now on," said a young Yardrat.
"Please take care of us too!"
Kasso and Ausbie returned the greeting.
Will led Kasso forward, passing through various small paths. Along the way, they encountered many Yardrats; they varied in height, but their skin was all a pale purple.
They cast curious glances, though it seemed their eyes already betrayed the knowledge that two Saiyans had arrived here.
They didn't make a fuss, simply standing by and watching with interest.
Will exchanged greetings with them and continued walking.
Finally, they arrived at a cave entrance. It looked ancient, like some sort of relic from a bygone era; the sense of age was comparable to the Egyptian pyramids!
Two guards stood at the entrance, both wearing Yardrat combat uniforms.
If one is unfamiliar with Yardrat combat uniforms, one could look back at the scene where Goku first returned to Earth from Yardrat; that was the very style of armor he wore.
Kasso couldn't sense the combat power of these two guards at all. He wondered if they were either far stronger than him or simply ordinary people.
However, given that they were guarding such an important location, Kasso chose to believe the former.
During his final time on Mumu Planet, Kasso's combat power hadn't increased much. After three months of space travel, the time had allowed his power to settle and stabilize. Now, he had a combat power of 1,500, while Ausbie had 1,000.
One could imagine how powerful these guards were—at least 5,000 or more.
One must realize that a combat power of 5,000 in the early stages of Dragon Ball was essentially enough to roam the universe at will, provided one didn't provoke major factions!
"Come, please follow me!" Will led them from the entrance into a corridor inside.
Once inside, the place was quiet, cold, and incredibly dim, as if spirits from hell were waiting to harvest those who dared to enter.
Suddenly, bonfires ignited along both sides of the corridor. Their appearance was like a beacon in the dark, guiding people out of the silent, desolate wasteland and toward the light!
The fires illuminated the entire corridor, revealing many murals on the walls. The figures depicted were lifelike, seemingly recording the ancient history of Yardrat, though Kasso couldn't understand any of it.
The stone slabs and cyan murals all bore the marks of time, heavy with the weight of ages!
Reaching the end of the corridor, the path opened up into a much wider space.
It was a hall resembling a secret chamber.
The hall contained many stone tablets engraved with lines of varying depth. These lines converged, and just when one thought they could clearly see the content, it appeared even more illusory, as if a thick fog were shrouding the inscriptions!
Will brought the two to one of the tablets and pointed at it. "This tablet records the method for Instant Transmission. A person can learn at most two secret arts from here in their lifetime. You may choose the other one yourselves, but there is a prerequisite: you must have sufficient spiritual power."
Learning Instant Transmission requires spiritual power?
What is spiritual power?
Kasso realized he had been a bit naive, thinking that learning Instant Transmission would be simple, just like learning a new type of energy blast!
Will and the others hadn't considered the possibility that Kasso and Ausbie wouldn't be able to learn it. After all, they were the saviors prophesied by the Wise One. Even if they were still children, while learning two secret arts at once might be difficult, learning one should be possible.
After instructing them on how to comprehend the secret arts on the tablets, Will departed.
One simply had to focus their spirit on the tablet, and it would reveal the detailed learning method.
"Hee hee, I get it!"
Ausbie had been pondering the tablet when she suddenly let out a giggle!
Nani?
This little dummy understands it? Is her talent really that strong? Kasso was shocked.
In truth, Ausbie's talent was indeed quite formidable. Using the same training methods as Kasso, her combat power had never fallen behind.
Kasso patted Ausbie on the head and said gently, "Then hurry up and comprehend it!"
"Mm-hmm!" Ausbie nodded vigorously.
Seeing that she had begun her training, Kasso said no more and immersed himself in the contents of the tablet.
How do I focus my spirit on it?
Kasso tried to concentrate with all his might, clearing his mind of distractions as he stared at the entire tablet.
Suddenly!
His consciousness was violently pulled into it, as if he were powerless to resist.
Kasso's "consciousness" arrived in a world filled with mist.
It was deep, dim, and pathless, much like the man-eating dark forests found in fairy tales—there was no way out, no guiding light to be found!
In fairy tales, a dark forest usually has a guide, and in this hazy world, a white stream suddenly appeared, as dazzling as a small brook reflecting moonlight in the dead of night.
Hm?
So that was it; the lines carved on the stone tablet were this white stream, guiding the spirit within. By following them, one could etch those lines into their heart...
Half a year later, a brat suddenly appeared out of thin air in a marketplace, only to vanish in the blink of an eye!
"Whew!"
Arriving at a high cliff, Kasso exhaled. He hadn't expected his spiritual power to be so formidable; in less than half a year, he had already mastered Instant Transmission and integrated it completely!
Was it because he had merged with the soul of this original Kasso body?
When it came to matters of the spirit and soul, Kasso didn't understand much, but it didn't matter. He had learned Instant Transmission, and now, let's see who could catch him!
Meanwhile, Ausbie was still in the secret chamber, struggling to comprehend Instant Transmission.
It wasn't that the girl lacked talent; one had to remember that even Goku, a martial arts genius with a pure heart, had taken a year to learn it.
He estimated that little Ausbie would need another half a year to grasp Instant Transmission!
Kasso sat down and pondered.
It was currently Age 736.
In another half a year, Planet Vegeta would be destroyed!
With his current strength, he couldn't resist Frieza at all; he probably couldn't even block a small energy blast from Frieza in his base form!
Was the Saiyan race still destined to be wiped out?
Would everything continue to follow the Dragon Ball timeline?
What should he do!
Right, the Dragon Balls!
Kasso had spent half a year in the secret chamber, nearly losing his mind trying to comprehend the secret technique, and only now did he remember the Dragon Balls.
He calculated that it wouldn't take long to travel from here to Namek; he could definitely summon the Eternal Dragon before the destruction of Planet Vegeta!
Because he had never met a Namekian, he didn't know what their energy felt like and couldn't use Instant Transmission. He would have to continue using the spaceship, which fortunately already had the interstellar coordinates for Namek.
"Little Ausbie, you stay here on Yardrat and keep learning Instant Transmission. Leave the future of the Saiyan race to me!" Kasso muttered.
Having decided to head to Namek, Kasso began to take action, first notifying Supar and Hu Su, who replied telling him to go ahead without worry.
He found the spaceship.
Kasso stood before the vessel and glanced back at the distant town.
Little Ausbie, wait for me to return!
He then boarded the ship he had arrived in, shot into the sky, and set off toward Namek!
