Sun Wukong sat with his eyes closed in the center of the Lookout's courtyard.
He was training in the third stage of the State of Nothingness.
"Kakarot, what are you doing here?" Vegeta started over to wake him.
"Goku's actually here!" Launch had turned back into Blue-haired Launch, and her voice was gentle.
Sun Wukong didn't respond. He seemed almost ethereal, as if he weren't part of this world.
Vegeta furrowed his brow and walked over, intending to slap Sun Wukong awake.
Suddenly!
A dark figure appeared right in front of him. It moved so fast that even Vegeta couldn't react in time.
Vegeta jumped in fright and cursed, "Who the hell are you?"
Blue-haired Launch patted her chest, clearly badly startled too.
"Don't disturb him," Popo said calmly.
"Who are you to tell me what to do?"
Vegeta was still as obnoxious as ever. He wouldn't know what it meant to suffer until he'd actually taken a beating.
Vegeta was impulsive, and he immediately threw a punch.
The explosive force sent a fierce gust of wind rushing out, making the plants on the Lookout sway wildly.
"Thud!"
Popo raised an index finger and lightly tapped the incoming fist.
His attack barely made a ripple compared to Vegeta's.
But often, the attacks that looked the least impressive were the ones with terrifying power.
"Ah!"
A piercing pain shot from the nerves in his fist throughout his body. It felt as if thousands upon thousands of ants were gnawing at Vegeta's bones. He collapsed onto the ground, rolling around in agony.
"Vegeta, what's wrong?"
Launch sneezed, instantly turning into Blonde Launch.
"Ahhhhh!"
Vegeta clutched his right hand and writhed across the Lookout, trying to ease the pain. It didn't help at all—in fact, it seemed to hurt even more.
