Piccolo saw Raditz's Energy Sphere flying toward him. As the Demon King, Piccolo had been closely watching Raditz's every move. He swiftly dodged, causing Raditz's attack to miss. The Energy Sphere continued onward and blasted a mountain peak behind Goku into flat ground.

Goku flashed in front of Raditz and threw a punch at his face. Seeing his younger brother Kakarot attack, Raditz shook his head and raised his palm, blocking Kakarot's punch with ease.
Raditz said, "My little brother, Kakarot, your fist is so weak. Is that supposed to be an attack? Let me teach you what a real attack is." Raditz clenched his hand around Goku's fist and pulled him toward himself, then drove his knee upward. The blow slammed directly into Goku's abdomen, making him vomit bile as his body toppled backward.
With a bang, Goku crashed onto the ground, kicking up clouds of dust.
