Watching Bardock fly from his kick, Broly said, "Brother Gaino really is amazing. He spotted Bardock's opening at a glance."
While Broly was distracted, Bardock seized his chance and swiftly moved behind him. "You dare let your guard down while fighting me?" he said, driving an elbow into Broly and sending him flying forward.
Gaino immediately called out, "Well done, Bardock! You must never lose focus in a fight. Teach Broly a lesson and show him that a fight is a fight—you can't let your guard down for even a moment."
As Bardock watched Broly fly forward, he darted ahead of him and cupped his hands. "Energy Sphere—here it comes!" A white blast of energy shot from his palms.
Seeing Bardock use an Energy Sphere, Broly stopped holding back. He powered up in an instant, halting his forward momentum, and fired an energy attack from his palm as well. "Super Wave Attack—here it comes!" A green energy wave blasted toward Bardock.
The two energy waves collided, and the pair began a beam struggle. Bardock and Broly kept pouring out their ki, trying to overpower each other's wave.
They remained locked in a stalemate, neither able to overpower the other. Just then, Gaino stepped into the very center of the two blasts. His body disappeared into the waves of energy as he raised both hands and separated Bardock and Broly's attacks.
Gaino used the Spirit Devouring Technique, swallowing Bardock and Broly's energy waves into his body. He felt his base battle power increase a little.
Everyone was stunned by what Gaino had done. He had simply neutralized two incredibly powerful energy attacks.
Gaino said, "Beam struggles are pointless. My goal is for you to hurt your opponents, not keep attacking with Energy Spheres or getting locked in beam struggles."
"All right, you two, attack me together! I don't think I've fought since I became king. I'll show you what I can do."
"Attack with everything you've got. I'll point out where you're falling short."
Bardock and Broly teamed up to attack Gaino again. They reached him and threw a punch. Watching their attack, Gaino said, "Too slow, and not enough power. Let me show you what a real attack feels like."
As he spoke, Gaino's eyes flashed and he used Time Skip. Broly and Bardock had already taken dozens of blows from him. Their bodies doubled over, and blood spilled from their mouths.
Gaino had actually held back. He only wanted Broly and Bardock to experience the force of a real attack.
At the instant the blows landed, only one thought filled Broly and Bardock's minds: What a heavy punch. Gaino is so strong.
