Zeno and Zeno Egg clapped and cheered when they saw Goku fling Bergamo viciously out of the ring. "Yay! Yay! Goku really is amazing!"
"Yeah! Yeah! Goku is amazing."
Seeing how much Goku and Bergamo's battle had delighted the two Grand Zenos, the Grand Minister announced, "The winner of the first match is contestant Son Goku of Universe 7."
Beerus was immensely excited when he heard the Grand Minister declare Goku the winner.
"Good, we won one match. The tension in my heart has eased a little."
The Grand Minister spoke again.
The second match.
Contestant Son Gohan of Universe 7 versus contestant Lavender of Universe 9. Please take the stage.
Goku returned to the viewing area. Gohan stepped forward and said, "Dad, congratulations on your victory."
"Ahaha! It was nothing, really. Gohan, it's your turn now. Do your best!"
"Okay, Dad."
Gohan leaped straight onto the ring, while his opponent had already been waiting for him there.
Lavender, the second eldest of the Trio of Danger. He specialized in poison, his toxic arts refined to perfection. Simply standing there gave off a gloomy, sinister feeling.
Roh, the Supreme Kai of Universe 9, shouted, "Lavender, you must win this match!"
Lavender fixed his eyes on Gohan and said darkly, "Don't worry, Lord Supreme Kai. I'll make this kid understand the might of Universe 9."
"Good. The match begins now."
At the Grand Minister's command, Gohan immediately transformed into a Super Saiyan and charged at Lavender.
As Lavender watched Gohan rush toward him, he suddenly spat out a mouthful of poisonous gas. Gohan immediately dodged.
After evading it, Gohan reappeared before Lavender and drove a fist at his cheek.
"Haah! Take this!"
Gohan's fist slammed hard into Lavender's face, sending him flying backward.
"Argh!"
With a whoosh, Lavender's body shot backward.
