Xian Lin'er serves as the Dean of Shrek Academy's Soul Engineering Department and is one of the academy's foremost combatants. While guarding Shrek City, she intervened when the Evil Soul Master Mist Shadow attacked Chu Feng's shop, killing the Soul Emperor-level attacker in a single throw of her battle halberd. 48

Her interest in Chu Feng began after he revealed a Level 4 Milk Bottle bearing his own Core Array. Recognizing that he was its creator and an unusually advanced young Soul Engineer, she repeatedly attempted to recruit him into her department. Although Chu Feng declined, she gave him her personal token, granting access to the department's equipment and facilities. 49

The token gave Chu Feng entry to Xian Lin'er's private laboratory, where their working relationship developed around his advanced Soul Tool designs.
